    Evening all

Thanks for last week Natty and for this one Valli :D

Gosh - it's windy up here. Forth Road bridge closed again in August !!!!!! and my poor DH has to drive extra forty miles to next bridge. Just hope he gets back safely.

Soo sorry you're in the wars again Dizzy - sending some gws vibes for you and your DH and ((hugs)) for you.

Hope your abs work better this time CY

Made me laugh LW. My DH comes in and switches on the television = asleep in under ten minutes without fail :rotfl:

    Monday - Living Room Loveliness
    Open the windows!
Give the cushions a good plumping.
Remove anything that doesn't live here.
With a damp cloth wipe remotes, lights switches and the bit just above and below the door handles, where sticky fingers leave residues.
Lift sofa cushions, swap around if you can and vacuum all those crevices
Dust everywhere - check for cobwebs!
Move all the furniture you can and vacuum
    Extras
Sort out your herbs and spices - fling OOD stuff!
How's the winter prep coming along? Are all your gloves, hats and scarves washed?

Plenty of spare sticks and spoons in the porch and a scattering of hugs and vibes all round.

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

New ratties have settled well - just need to think of names now!

    What colours are they?

Thanks Valli we're in in our own way :D

Dizzy - Kick up the backside vibes for you DH and hugs for you.

Monday I'm packing DD off upstairs to watch DVDs and chill while I get on with scanning/shredding paperwork. She's had lots of late night lately and her mood is foul as a result.

I've spent the past 6 hours scanning hand written uni work in and then taking great delight in ripping it up :D Its all out of date, I've not looked at it since 2010 and since its ICT work I'm never likely to need it. I just want proof that I did actually get my head around it :rotfl: So tomorrow I'm planning on attacking the other course which has a lot less paperwork and then starting on the other stuff in the pile. I measured it earlier and it was 12" high  I'm hoping to have it cleared by tomorrow night if I'm left alone to get on with it. In fact this entire week is being dedicated to flinging stuff as both bins get emptied tomorrow ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Good morning All

I'm about to go to the gym and then I'll be back home to do my list, also need to konmarie my sons room as I didn't on Friday. I'm need to go to the next town this afternoon to pick up some new nets and a fish pump, so I can kill two birds with one stone and take stuff to the charity shop / skip... so best stick to my plan, no falling asleep.

Morning all, thanks for the list Valli.

So far this morning I have done some of the LR jobs and watered the back garden and greenhouse plants. Just having breakfast and then I'll crack on with some more of the list before starting on the paid stuff. MIL and DH are both still in bed.

    Have a great day everyone.

All applicable jobs on todays list done except the dusting of the light switches etc.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning lovelies,

Thank you for this lists. I am in just not today or Friday. Some friends and their kiddies are coming round for the day, then it's the funeral on Friday. I am coping simply by blocking it out of my mind - I can't fall apart in front of the children at home, and several relatives my mum included are struggling so I'm holding it together. I fear it will all pour out in Friday though.

I have a spag Bol in the oven, the DW is on and I'll shortly be making an omelette. Then it's on to Aldi for supplies before the masses descend.

Dizzy - you poor love. Why is it so often the case that men hinder, not help. My bestie and I have already decided that if we ever both find ourselves without our DHs, we are going to live together :)

Hope your DH got back ok Lynne xx

    Have lovely days all xx

I was thinking more kick him in the balls lol!

Having spent a fortnight at the caravan, I am now back at home so as it is school holidays I thought I'd better join in! The house is like a bombsite as usual and I'd really like to get it sorted before I go back to work and then try and keep on top of it. There's loads of decluttering to be done and we're planning on doing a carboot so we'll see how it goes.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Morning all, welcome back play2day and hope you're feeling better today CY

Yeee-ow-ow-ow-ow-ouch! Dizzy :eek:eek: Sorry you're in the wars again. Big (((hugs))) and healing vibes coming your way.

Any chance of a ratty photo please, Froddy?

Thank you Valli for the new thread and Natty for last week's.

Everything off today's list that is relevant has been done (DH hoovered for me :T *and* cleared away some of his magazines :T) and I've even cleaned the downstairs windows inside and the glass doors of the DR cabinets as I was passing. I've also dealt with several emails and phoned DD, and the week ahead is looking good :)

    I must
    - hang out the washed bedding in the hopes that it will blow dry before the rain starts after lunch
    - get my brain in gear for a meeting with my Director of Studies at 11.00
    - post charity newsletters to 2 people who don't have email
    - change my electricity and gas supplier
    - do QHI
    - give my foot plenty of rest today as it is objecting to the amount of walking I did over the weekend :(
    - mark up the Swedish bookshelves so that tomorrow I can cut them down to fit the narrow wall space in the study

Catch up later. (((Hugs))), sticks and spoons all round, as needed.
