I've just added the movie package to my sky bundle for £18 a month.
My friend informed me I could have got a tiny now box & 2 months sky movies for £25 & then 3 months movies for £25 a time.
Would the user experience be different?
Sky is so easy - I'm guessing the films wouldn't come through my sky box, could I record them & watch when I pleased?
Does the little now box need to be connected to the tv or the sky box?
My Tv is mounted on the wall with the cables channeled in & filled & painted over, so adding anything extra to the tv isn't easy....
You can buy a couple in advance Two months for £11.89 or four months for £20.75 You can stop the service and start it again when convenient by applying the voucher code.0 -
I ditched sky tv at end of feb as contract was up for renewal and moved over to NOW tv. It is easy enough to operate and I tend to look out for cheap vouchers meaning that i can get movies and entertainment for a LOT cheaper and view on two devices. This works out far better than multi room.
We d have movie night and I like the on demand option as it means we an start and pause it whenever we need to!
They have now started a kids pass which is annoying so when the free access runs out we will see!Don’t put it down - put it away!

TBH the picture is clear to me and i have no issues. I did have sky hd a while back but had so many issues with it that i felt it was not worth the hassle.Don’t put it down - put it away!

What "issues" are you referring to? Other than having to pay extra for it, I have never had any problems at all.0 -

That assumes the OP is past the minimum term with Sky and can cancel the whole service with one month's notice.
Yeh of course but I was giving the OP the option to swap between a NOW TV box and the Sky box, just to try it out, buy a white box from eBay and a pass to try it out.0 -
I've used Now TV for a couple of years, different packages. The lack of HD isn't a problem to me. I'd say the picture quality is much better than the non-HD channels on freeview, but not as good as the HD channels on freeview. I've had the movies projected on the big screen from Now TV through my Youview box, and it's good enough quality up to about 90 inch.
I bought a Now TV box in May for £25 and got 4 months movie pass for free, so basically paid £6 a month to have Sky Cinema, so it's a lot cheaper than a normal Sky package. Managed to sell the Now TV box for £5 as well. When this 4 months runs out, I'll see if I get any special offers, or maybe just buy a new Now TV box to get free passes again.0
