Great new diary Buffy, creeps out from lurking :)

I dont think I am dissimilar to you in age, also single, although live on my own, have the furries too (1 horse and 1 hamster!) Also love an afternoon nap :D

Good luck with all your future plans, very similar again to mine, save more, lose weight, go visit lots of places. For me possible OH too but not worrying about that too much yet, just concentrating on finding my feet and my goals and see what happens.

  • Hello :)

Had a lovely few days and finally finally feel like I am ON HOLIDAY. Which is so good. so so good.

Just realised my ex boy friend (who keeps randomly popping into my head has a touch of the Sean Beans about him) Am watching a film called The Island. Pretty old I think but good.

Made some head way with the decluttering, Kon Mari is very helpful in that respect. Need to look at the book again. Done my exercise DVD for 3 days in a row! Been really working on my routines. morning and night. things are good there.

Attempted the garden today. It honestly terrifies me. Ordered lots for it, just need to get out there and do "stuff"

Money saving wise I cut back my subscriptions from Amazon, and went through my bank account, moving and allocating money.

    I am ok........I think.

any how must got to bed - didn't realise how late it was. Film finished.

Is that the film with Ewan McTasty in too? Good film.

Aside from the pond what are you doing in the garden? We have new neighbours at the back and they're just making a huge chicken run, my fluffy lot think its amazing to watch the chickens doing their stuff and I love listening to them.

Your new diary has inspired me to start one....I need some goals.

  • DO you know what, I wrote it alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll out and decided not to post it.

    IT is so much!

I might post it later when I am not wetting myself!

  • Spent the day half waiting for my bil to come out of hospital and hanging about for the dogs to be groomed. So it was a bit of an all and nothing day. Watched the Olympics tho which was good. Napped again this afternoon. Could not stay awake. It is a dreadful habit and I hate it....

Tomorrow I have two hospital appointments in two different hospitals! one for boob(morning), one for ankle(afternoon). I think part of my reluctance re the garden is that I want the all clear from the doctor that I can start doing proper physical stuff, I mean I know I am healing and only get the odd twinge of pain if I accidentally squish them! and the bruise has almost gone. I am a bit disappointed that it has taken so long to see me, over two weeks since the op. Saying that tho, you would hardly know I had anything done in terms of scarring. amazing, very clever man.

After that I have deliberately left the weekend free for the garden. - it did rain today a tiny bit and in between hospital appointments I am hoping tomorrow to treat the mini ponds for blanket weeds. I bought some fancy goldfish - I had them when i was young and really was dreadful as I pretty much killed them all. Always felt guilty about that! so this my I am really sorry I have killed so many of your kind, please have a nice life with me now I have slightly more of a clue.... any how they currently have blanket weed.......so that is er.......going brilliantly!!

am visiting my best friend on Monday. Tuesday lunch out again (will need to report progress on garden there), Wednesday garden, Thursday dentist and spa night with two mates, Friday home and weekend garden again!

  • Whilst I think of it, I am considering a couple of money rated things.

    1. more peer to peer lending, once I research it well.

    2. Opening a t'cos account for some of the savings.

You know the funniest thing? T'scos sent two e mails and one letter telling me about their amazing new credit card which little old special me has been preselcted for......wow I felt special....;) .........56% APR....... which is just appalling but the best bit is....wait for it.......£150 annual charge for the privilege

I nearly fainted at the APR, but seriously they want you to pay 150 for the sheer joy of having one of their credit cards????? Are they mad? who would do that??????????????

    most odd.

very odd. People really still must have money to burn, I couldn't figure out what was good about it. Even with loads of tesco points. I mean again just another way to get you to spend money with them.

On to today, I have been officially discharged by the Boob doctor!

He was happy with the healing and told me that i could do my normal stuff and okayed me for building the pond!

Ankle wise, I gave up! went to the clinic, it was delayed, people were furious. I feel for the staff totally, it was not their fault. I am still waiting for physio.

Other than that not much is happening :) fruit and fresh cream for dessert, Very good.

I have a whole weekend to crack on with my plans so that is good and I didn't nap today :)

  • Such a huge stressful thing to have over and done with! One down and two to go. Progress!!!!

The pond will bring so much enjoyment. It sounds like a wonderful plan.

56% APR? I've never heard of anything over 30% and that's highway robbery! I doubt they will get many takers.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.
