Took parcel in for someone and they've not collected. What to do?

I was at work one day and when we had a courier collection, the courier asked if he could leave 5 large parcels with us as the recipients a few units down weren't in. It turned out not to be for a company a few units down, but for another company in the same unit number but on a different (although) similarly named industrial estate.
When I realised this, I googled the company, rang their head office who gave me the number of the warehouse that was expecting the parcels, rang the warehouse, told them we had the parcels, gave them our address and company name and they said they'd come and get them.
This was over a week ago now and they have not been to get them, and further attempts at ringing them have gone unanswered. The boxes are quite large (pieces of furniture) and are getting in the way, so just wondering what I should do with them.
Obviously, the intended recipient is aware we have them but I'm starting to feel that they're either using us for extra storage or have no intention of picking them up, but either way, they need shifting.
Any suggestions?

Phone them back and inform them 10am Monday morning parcels will be left outside0

could it be possible that the people who are expecting the parcels might be on holiday.
I know this does not help your predicament, hope you get it sorted out soon.0 -

Good idea but don't want to be liable for damage hahacould it be possible that the people who are expecting the parcels might be on holiday.

The intended recipient is quite a large company with a few warehouses and retail shops so this is unlikely, but thanks for the suggestion0 -
It does look like the company concerned are in no hurry for the items and are using you as an ad hoc storage facility. All you can do is harass them to come and collect. I agree it would be unwise to threaten that you will dump the items outside.0

If not leave them outside then tell them that you will start to charge them storage.0

Tell the courier.
I would be very surprised if the courier was in the least bit interested.
They have delivered the packages to someone that was willing to accept them and who has presumably signed for accepting them.
Provided that the delivery instructions allowed for the packages to be given to someone other than at the intended delivery address, the courier company have fulfilled their duty.0 -

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

I'm another one for informing them that if they don't collect by x you'll leave them outside. They can't and won't sue you for damage. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
