My budget will cover all food and drink consumed in the house, otc medication, toiletries, cleaning materials and most snacks and drinks consumed away from home.
My month will run from 29th October to 25th November, my budget that i'm hoping to not go over is £280 so far i have spent £73.17.
By some miracle I came under budget by £71.61 in October's challenge, I am putting the remaining money aside to pay the wholesalers.
Starting November with
Grocery budget £280
Wholesaler budget £71.61Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

Can I join please. £180 for 2 adults and a cat.
We have a lot of basic groceries already as I have recently done a stock-up shop, so we should be able to eat quite well on that sum.
This also includes the £5 we donate to the church for the regular Wednesday soup lunch.
I reckon if we are thrifty and careful for most of the month we should be able to carve in an outing too! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
My usual $500 please.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

This morning I hoped for a NSD but then realised the car needed fuel and it was the last day to spend a £6 off £30 voucher at w8rose. Hey, turning down 20% off a w8rose spend would have been rude!
So I went and stocked up on tinned fish, a few gluten free bits and pieces for me, eggs, a few veg, bananas, some tofu, which is cheaper there by 50p a pack than sainsbobs! And got free coffee and newspaper for DH. Win win! Adjusted sig accordingly.
Tomorrow also not a NSD because church soup means a fiver donation, for the two of us. Will be careful to eat frugally for breakfast and dinner to remain in the approximate "£6 a day for 2" zone. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Yay. NSD today. Trying to last until we go away on Saturday without spending. Will have to see.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

Another £3.36 on fruit, salad and veg. It feels like the budget is trickling away and it's only week one
On the plus side, the freezer has a lot of batch cooked meals in it which I have meal planned around. I can't afford another £40 + shop though so I'll have to put some budget meals into the plan I think.
It feels like I'm going to need a miracle to hit my target this month:(
PP xOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.

Evening all
I declared £10.46 over for October so starting with that as a deficit for November to get myself back on track
I think we will be eating lots of veggie and egg based meals this month, to try to put some back into the Bulk buy fund to get some butcher meat and save some towards our C lunch
Starting with an NSD today :j Hope you all have a super Tuesday and have done those meal plans

Right, a quick review of the freezer shows 34 portions of home made ready meals - requiring only veg and carbs. So that is 17days of November covered without ANY cooking, and we are away for a further 7. There are also 8 days of cooked breakfast in there, and enough home made soup for 13 lunches. I have all the ingredients for bread. I MUST be able to come in under budget this month.
Put the last of the Pepsi cans in the fridge. I really want to reduce that, so I am not going to buy any before we go away. I won't drink it on holiday so hopefully will have got myself weaned off by the time we get back. Then I will have a rethink. I'm fine with the big bottles at home, but the work fridge is too small. There is a Lidl near work, so I suppose if I don't take any in and I am desperate I won't have to resort to overpriced cans.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0
