  • Signing out of September GC at 252.10. Just had two NSDs but had to buy some toilet roll. Got the massive pack from Iceland which lasts for a couple of months for £5. NSDs have increased loads and this has really helped to stick to budget and be planned. All ready for October. Bring it on!

Good week last week, stuck to the meal plan and even used up some leftovers! Lost track a bit but going through bank account and all receipts I can find adds up to £303.34 so I might really be hovering closer to target, but pleased overall. October here we come.

Declaring £88.27 for September. Storecupboard is low and have a list but won't actually buy anything until new boiler has been installed.

Feel bad for joining and not posting but September GC was a FAIL. The oven & hob broke & we don't own a microwave so we overspent on take-aways.

Right, I'm starting on October now with a much reduced budget, a freezer full of last months meat & veg & a shiny new cooker.

Lessons learnt & the OH is properly on-board now so there is a silver lining.

Hi kinda lost track of the spends in September so can't really declare a total. Determined to stick at it next month.
  • I finished on about £50 in the end, having realised far too late that I'd given myself a 5 week month! Aiming for £45 next month.

I had drawn a line under September as I work from first to last of each month budget-wise, but in an effort to keep myself accountable I thought I should put my final total on here - £588.52/£450! Hope to come in on budget next month using the lessons I've learned...

Forgot to declare my Sept total was 364.60 but I received cashback on some of these purchase, so actual after that was 333.5, which was still 33.50 over budget but getting better!
