  • 4 nsd in a row so very pleased about that.
Tonight's dinner of cottage pie and a spare for the freezer done.
Will shop again on Thursday as I need tomatoes for the tomato and mozzarella tarts, shouldn't be too big a shop as eating at my dad's Friday and a friend's Saturday :) then rubber chicken as roast, enchiladas and pasta covers 3 days. I thinks there is a slim chance of being on budget. 190/250

Mr tc did some shopping today. We needed bread and milk...so obviously, he bought other stuff we don't need and managed to spend £11.31. So he's banned from shopping for 10 days as we only have just over £20 left and some APG vouchers.

  • Went 10 days without shopping, apart from a 50p(ish) spend. So amazed I did that. Today I spent £4 on some fruit & veg and need to go to market 2moz to get some avocados and then I'm going to try and continue working through freezer & stores. Have updated sig.

Grocery store shop today for some basics totaling $123. They had potatoes on sale in a larger bag than I needed but it was cheaper to buy it, so I did. I got my dried red chiles for the year. In New Mexico when the chile turns red it is picked and put on the flat roofs of buildings or made into riastras to dry, then bagged and sold.

Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • Still under budget this month. Just got the YNAB app which I think is really going to help. And scare me witless!

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • One more shop to go for me and I'm currently up to £34.31/£60 - I clearly set my target far too high! But I'm pleased that it's come in so low and will readjust the target for next months challenge.

nsd yesterday and im back on the "normal computer" yay, can print off coupons again now! x
  • Aaaand a massive £100.34 spent today, in L!DLS and at the wholesalers! But that included some items towards the Christmas stocks, and several things that should last until the end of October. It was necessary, because I'll be away for the next few days caring for Mum as she comes out of hospital. There shouldn't be much more this month; I'll try to get to the market on either Friday or Saturday, and there'll be a bread/fruit top-up early next week.

And we've one less mouth to feed now, except on high days & holidays; I've just dropped DS3 back to uni to do his MA.

  • 75p on a small loaf today. Not worth the mention really. Probably do a Lid! shop tomorrow though.

Managed not to get any grocery shopping today...I will need some potatoes tomorrow or Friday. I will probably get some flavoured carbonated water too.
