Glad you were able to get provisions. We had lots of online deliveries booked before the crisis - we used it for budgeting so we have avoided the shops as much as poss. We have a delivery coming Tuesday - after that we may struggle - although Am**** have sent us some store staples. Trying to be careful as our family has higher risk factors... Great news for you on the vacuum bags

That is so nice.  It's the simple gestures that strangers are making, that makes us feel we are not alone, we are actually all in this together.  If everyone made just a small gesture to an unknown neighbour/stranger, like your stranger said, "it would make a happier Easter to Lockdown".
My mum had a note put through her door with a mobile no on it from her neighbour, saying that they knew she had family helping out but if she needed anything to just phone. (No Easter egg though, lol).
    Enjoy.

I am quite bored today, I know there are things to be done but I just can't find the motivation to do them.

Post arrived so dealt with straight away, filed and shredded as appropriate. Interest rate on ISA about to drop dramatically but the only option for a higher rate seems to be to lock my money away and right now I don't want to do that.
Vacuum bags arrived, I have used 2 for the bedding and am leaving them to test to make sure they are sealed OK then I will see which curtains I can get in the other 3. I came to a stop after that so have had lunch and have started knitting a new square for my blanket. I want to go for a walk but want to go out when it isn't as busy so will head out later.

What a weird 2 months. 8 weeks ago my maternal grandmother passed away, wholly expected. I was very grateful she didn't have to go through any of this craziness. We had the funeral on 12th March and I think we were very lucky as much longer and we wouldn't have been able to attend. This morning I had a message from my mum, they had a call from the care home my paternal grandmother was in to say say she wasn't well, she was having difficulty breathing and an ambulance was being called to check on her. At this time it is obviously a worry as I didn't want her going anyway near a hospital and nor did she. I have not long had a call from my mum to say she has passed away with her sister with her as they were both in the same care home. This time we will not be able to come together as a family or go to the funeral. The last time anyone saw her was 13th March as the home had locked down quite quickly.
