I am coming on here to vent as it is safer than on social media. What is so difficult to understand about the current restrictions? You can go out to work if it is essential, for medication, to care for someone, for shopping or for exercise. I am listening to a show where they are saying apparently it is not clear. Suggestions that only people who don't have outside space should be able to exercise or questioning for how long. I don't understand the confusion, if everyone goes out to exercise and then returns home we can keep the current rules. They don't stop people without a garden from not getting fresh air, they can walk, run or cycle alone or as a family. Often when I run or walk, exchanging pleasantries with others is the only human contact I have (if they reply), I have a garden but it doesn't give me this.
The time for exercise is driving me crazy and seeing the stats of my friends on strava suggest some are pushing the boundaries. I haven't been further than a mile and a half from my house since I was sent from home.
    Rant over.

Rant away, love a good rant.
    Here's mine . . .
All of us understand it, seems folk just pick and choose what they think applies to them . . .
Just look at the person giving the advice . . .  nuff said, I think.

And their excuse everytime is "but the rules aren't clear"
New rant, I have finally managed to pair my alexa devices but she has selective hearing...I listen to BBC radio stations a lot but each time she directs me to other stations in foreign languages.  Some others work but not the ones I generally listen to.

Well the person giving the rules, can hardly say - "There not clear" - can they?  Anyhow they have now resigned.
Alexa - too technical for me, will need to be in the mood, before I attempt to pair it all up.  I'm sure you will get it working correctly before the end of the day.  I'm saying about mine - the instructions aren't clear . . .  :D

AFK - definitely sort a will - we found a deal via MSE and went with that C00p last year - it's a weight off my mind that it's done. Now feeling guilty not done a health directive equivalent or power of atorney

AJM - I would keep all annual mortgage statements. Possibly annual credit card statements. I hoard all payslips (suggest you keep 7 years worth which is normally max can go back and claim). I second the idea of an A-z file but admit we are drowning in paperwork despite having upgraded our shredder. Keep at least latest utility, council tax bills - as can use them to prove ID. It depends how much of your paperwork is also easily available online and whether there would be a cost to getting hold of it.

The gardener started today and has pretty much finished tidying up the front garden, as part of this he did the first grass cut of the year too. My bin is full so he has left for the day and is coming back on Thursday to make a start on the back garden. He will work until the bin is full again so I think it may take a couple of visits.
I have no excuse not to keep going in the house now so I will attempt 30 minutes of something today.

Sounds like great progress on the garden. We are tidying ours currently but leaving the big jobs still for now.

I really need to get motivated to get things finished this week as work sounds like it could be coming our way soon.  Not many organising/sorting jobs to do and while it may be uncomfortable to finish them I think I will be more annoyed if they aren't completed seeing as I have had the time.  If I have the time to spring clean as well I will but I think an organised house and topped up cupboards is going to be essential.
Mission get things done needs to start after lunch.

Just my S&S ISA statements and paperwork to go through and a box of manuals. I am having to do the shredding in short stints so it doesn't overheat, I have so much to get rid of. I have probably still kept too many payslips, I have kept all my P60s and all payslips since the start of 2013.
Tried to vacuum pack my quilts but they must have holes in them as they are not holding, I will get some more.
I seem to do better with a deadline rather than finish some time, I am working on the end of Monday to complete everything.

Sounds like you are doing really well. Shredding is a never ending task in our house. I've been focusing more on the garden this week and trying to make the most of the sun.
