Should have a new roofing quote this afternoon. Gas fire has been serviced and works although need to get a carbon monoxide alarm so I can be safe with it. New garage door now fitted although they need to bring some more supports so it is a 4 point locking system rather than 2, they are coming back to fit those on Wednesday morning. I asked the heating guy about my tap but he wasn't very forthcoming so Mr AJM is going to try and help sort it this afternoon, if we are unsuccessful I will find someone to do it. I am done with workmen who leave me in the lurch or are vague, if you want my business then act as if you do.

    Perfect attitude to have :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks to a video clip and Mr AJM standing there I have changed the washers in my taps and stopped the dripping :T the hot tap then didn't turn far enough so he helped with that but I think eventually I may have worked it out. Next on my "I can do this" list is sanding down the window sills in my porch as they got damp at some point before my time and I am hoping if I take it back a bit it may look better, I will then seal/varnish it. I would also like to work out why the security alarm at the front of the house doesn't work, unsure if it is the bulb or the sensor but I will look for more videos to help.

The swimming sounds nice - I'm not the best swimmer but if I swim I prefer outdoors swimming sea or outdoor pool.

It really is the best, I would love an outdoor pool nearby.

A fairly busy weekend. Yesterday I walked around parkrun (sore knee means I am unable to run at the moment) and had a sociable cup of tea with hem afterwards. Got home in time to do an hour in the garden before the heavens opened. Went for a haircut to ensure I have time just for me, window shopped at a garden centre and then pottered around watching tv and reading. This morning I volunteered at junior parkrun and had another sociable cup of tea before going to support my tri club at a relay event. Went on the turbo trainer when I got home and have just got back from a walk to test out my new waterproof trousers, this weather is not going to hold me hostage in my house!!!

I have a few loch swims on the horizon this week plus I need to pack for my holiday, my family all arrive on Friday and I need to be packed before then to make life easier. I am hopeful for some good weather to get some more gardening done and practice on my bike to get some more confidence.

Be careful what you wish for . . . or you could end up with one, with this weather :rotfl:

Another 6 binbags filled in the garden this morning and I have now run out and my wheelie bin is full so need to buy some more and do a tip run. I am making a good impression but unsure how to proceed next, I know how to prune to encourage growth but there is so much wood behind the shoots I am getting confused. I am determined not to wait to ask my mum at the weekend though so will have another look later to try and come up with a plan.

I was meant to have a physio appointment this afternoon but the gym was shut so it was cancelled so I went to our local cycle park and spent over an hour on my bike. I have got a lot happier stopping and starting and am hoping to build on this over the next few weeks ready for a confidence building course I have signed up for next month. Today's session cost £2.50 and I could have been there all day if I had wanted. Off for a club swimming session tonight, think I will sleep well when I get to bed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
