Great news on mortgage neutrality, well done!

Since you've excluded your regular saver I'd be tempted to say you are already there 🙂

I totally understand the need to avoid the feeling of going backwards, the idea of paying for home improvements from savings as the mortgage continues to reduce, always keeping ahead of mortgage neutrality makes sense to me 👍
Thank you. I will have another look at my figures tonight to double check I can confirm mortgage neutrality  :)

I couldn't wait until later to check! Including my regular saver I am £924.64 away so will definitely hit it next month.

I find it hard spending an afternoon "doing nothing" even if I need the break, so I am spending the afternoon sitting to listen to CD albums that I haven't listened to in an age. I don't actually have anything to play them on anymore but have them all on a music device so I am using that. If there are albums I don't like, I am getting rid of the CD. I am unsure why I am keeping them all but figure that I can legally listen to them when I am on the go if I have the albums.

A lovely day mostly spent outside in the sun helping at an event. Came home early to get some shopping and cook a roast seeing as I enjoyed the one the other week so much.

Financials all up to date after the weekend so going to potter about and read for the evening after dinner.

Today is the last of my extended weekend off. I have grand plans of so much that I want to do but I am going to try and prioritise things that are good for my wellbeing so I start my working week refreshed.

Fabulous news on the mortgage neutrality.
Maybe use a little of the "extra" hitting your bank a/c for a treat that way things don't seem so frugal.  I've tried this a few times, a candle, flowers,  a small bottle of wine in a bubble bath, a few nice chocolate biscuits are all mine. So a financial win is celebrated!  Although at the moment every financial win means something can be done on the house (the last one was 3 garden lights which are still sitting on the office floor as need to be fitted).
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Any idea how much tradespeople normally charge for labour or how I can work it out? The quote I had for plastering work a couple of weeks ago that a couple of colleagues had suggested was high is cheaper than one that came in today. I am going to try and get a 3rd quote and then see where things are.

Feeling a little stressed this evening, leaving work pretty late probably didn't help. Unsure whether to go for a swim (which means I will be back pretty late to wind down), for a walk or do some yoga and chill a bit more. Oh the decisions!

Stress levels feel like they are rising all the time. I am trying to reframe how I feel about it in the hope it can help a bit but I think I need to try something different. Unsure what that is though. I am working from home this morning so hopefully I can do acieve more while not being interrupted to do things that have nothing to do with me!
