My course material arrives today and I have had a few emails from my tutor to read and understand over the weekend. I am sure I shouldn't be this excited about studying but I am really looking forward to it although ask me again in 4 weeks when I am getting ready to submit my first assignment!Today is morning 4 of me getting up and doing some sort of workout before I do anything else, I am proud of the fact I am showing up for myself each day.Yesterday was a very long day of work, definitely a lot more than if I had been in work rather than doing everything from home. It took a lot of motivation to go out for a walk to get me outside last night so I need to be more aware in advance on days like this and find a way to go out in the daylight. I had a headache through the night, hopefully it is a one off but after a few weeks of putting myself first I want to make sure I don't revert to everything I was doing before. It is definitely a strange time, even my post reads differently in my mind. I am actively seeking time out for myself every day and am not feeling guilty for it, I know with lockdown this should be easier but through the first one I didn't do this. Not so much work to do today but I have a few things to get done before having a catch up with my girl friends a 6pm online so off I go to get started.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

Yesterday was a strange day, it began in a very positive way with me looking forward to starting my course. I did a couple of easy jobs that I have been putting off for far too long, went for a swim and a walk (in the daylight), received my parcel and had my catch up with the girls. I went to bed in a really strange frame of mind though. I had a glass of wine last night, the first in 8 weeks since my situation and mental health took a big hit but I wonder if actually I am not ready for that yet but I'm sure it can't just be that. My mind was a little stuck on a couple of things that I guess I haven't dealt with or come to terms with yet. I don't have any plans at all for the weekend and while I think I might need that right now I am going to make a list of things I would like to do to try and give a bit of structure.I paid for the course on my credit card in the hope it wouldn't go through until after the statement is made up tomorrow but it is now showing. I am hoping that there will be close to that amount of money left in my current account at the end of the month so it will be cleared without me having to tap into any other funds. I am not using my car so much so there should definitely be some left in that budget.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

I have ended up being busy all day. I started by reading all the information my course tutor sent and then put a podcast on and started stripping wallpaper, 2 and a half hours later and the first lot is all off. I have borrowed a steamer and am going to see how much I can take off tomorrow, if I can manage it all I will be very happy. Someone from the tri club got in touch to ask if I wanted to go for a walk so headed out with her mid-afternoon and since I came back I have put the turbo wheel back on my bike and put that on my turbo trainer (now I don't have an excuse not to cycle) and have meal planned for next week and done my shopping last for the morning. It doesn't actually leave me with much that needs to be done tomorrow which is really good. Oven is warming up now for an easy dinner and then a shower and chill in front of the tv for the evening.

Nope and we have finally been without ice on the ground for most of the week as it has rained a lot. We were expecting snow on Thursday and then it didn't happen.savingholmes said:Sounds like you are budgeting well. Any snow up your end?

Anxiety levels seem to be rising today so a complete change of plan. Heading out to do my food shop now and then going to spend as much time as possible outside for the rest of the day or at least head out to walk for a couple of hours and then see what the weather is doing.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700
