AutoEurope - zero excess for rental in US?

Well, just to tie this one up for future searchers, it seems that:
a) The car rentals direct can beat the comparisons/brokers - assuming there is a code somewhere (Quidco is showing one at the moment for 17% which suits my needs).
b) You don't need car hire excess in the US when renting from the UK. (Hm... wasted a few years of car hire insurance here. Dammit)
Lesson learned: always check quidco/tcb for decent deals. AND that MSEers are lovely people (tho' I knew that anyway).
Make sure that you clear all cookies and start again from the beginning to make sure that the new booking validates.0 -
Thanks for this. Just booked through Auto Europe. 2 weeks SUV hire for £340. Used TCB for another 3 odd%. No hassle in Sanford, Florida hopefully!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
