I'm thinking of changing my car to a;

Nissan Micra or Peugeot 1007 (both on a 55 plate).

Thought about buying a micra recently but was put off by how light, sort of bobbly, the drive was on the motorway. Make sure you test it at motorway speed if you haven't already.

Ended up buying a nissan almera, big boot !

Micra every time, get the 1.5 diesel and wave goodbye to expensive fuel bills and hello to cheap road tax. It will last longer than you, cost you less to run and still be driving to Tesco when the Peugeot is a baked bean tin.

The Peugeot weighs as much as a larger car thanks to the foolish sliding door and as a result performs terribly.

I just hate them...It seems like I spend my entire life staring at the back of micra's wobbling along at 40mph (NSL roads).

Nissan is owned by renault now, so reliabilty is traditionally suffering.

The 1.5 unit is a french job, so I wouldnt be certain on it outlasting anything!

I would choose the micra simply because of japanese brilliant reliability record. Also consider other japanese cars i.e mazda, toyota, honda.
