  • I hope your work is understanding of the Southern Rail situation, and at least they know it is not a permanent thing now that you are moving.

The message from your boss is very strange, and why he feels the need to defend himself/the company so long after you've left is beyond me. I would say not knowing if they could afford to pay you goes way beyond 'tittle tattle'. I'm glad it didn't effect you and that you are happy at your new job.
  • How's it all going, Purplemo2?
  • Hey, I'm still about, thanks for your message Misty:)

Work has been mega busy, we won a huge tender so I spent three days last week putting it all together. Got some USB sticks to sort tomorrow then all done. Got six other potential tenders to start/finish next week.

Work are really great about Southern fiasco.

Spoke to my old colleague regarding exboss, my friend has since left the company and was also getting hassle and has blocked him. I too have blocked him both on my mobile and on LinkedIn. If I could warn people away from there I would.

House things are going the way they should, our buyer is dragging his heals though but hopefully he'll have his mortgage offer sorted tomorrow or we put the house back on the market.

Spoke to my solicitor friend re the RTA, it will go to court :o I will get points, a fine and have to pay compensation but I won't go to jail. Unsure if I will lose my license but doubt it. Once I have the moving date I need to ring 101 and let them know so they can amend the records and the summons won't get sent to the wrong place, I should've received the summons by then though. For a small lapse of concentration this mess enormous. I AM FRIGHTENED! I've never been to court, I don't know what to expect.

Everything is a mess, I just hope the rest of this year is better then the first quarter!
  • Thank goodness you won't go to jail. I've only been to court once years and years ago to dispute a parking ticket, so have no advice for you there. I'm sure if you remain calm and respectful, things will go as well as they can.

Your old boss sounds a t!!t and very defensive, which right there tells you things are not fine. It must be a bit of a relief to know that you are not the only one he's targeting. Blocking him is probably the best thing you can do.

Aside from that, it's all going on, isn't it? I hope your buyer gets his AIG and the mortgage is sorted today. Give us an update when you can! xx

Please don't be frightened, there will be a way through this. You are not a criminal. People do much much worse things than have a temporary lapse in concentration.

    Hope you're ok.

Don't worry about going to court, it's daunting but you'll have your chance to have your say and magistrates (generally from my experience anyway) appreciate someone who made an error but is "contrite" for want of a much better word. It wasn't intentional, you're not a repeat offender, it was just a bad experience.
