A company conference at night? That's unusual. Hope it goes ok and you won't be home too late.

  • That's too bad about the solicitors. I often find being the squeaky wheel gets things done in a timely manner. During our last house move, our solicitor went on holiday for a month. He did not make us aware of the holiday when we engaged him, so I went in to the office and would not leave until another solicitor there took the paperwork over and did not charge us any extra. Seriously, what was he thinking? There was a long chain and we were all depending on a certain completion date.

I hope all is well and Southern Rail isn't causing you problems xx
  • Evening,

Everything house wise now seems to be going smoothly, they're waiting on references from DH & I's companies and then all fires burning.

Bit of a down day today, worrying about a lot of things, I'm Pisces so natural I think lol. Things I'm worried about:
    The house sale falls through
    The buyers/vendors pull out
Schools pull out of placements for kids
We can't afford the house or move (we can)
I get jailed due to the accident last week
I lose my job due to Southern Rail and if I get jailed.

Made 9 NSD's this week, so heading in the right direction.

Not a NSD as I have a long over due eye test tomorrow. I hate it, as my eyesight is so poor it costs a blooming fortune...tip for you young 'uns look after your eyes and rest them properly :) then you don't pay nearly £400 just for one pair.

Forgot to mention DS and his gf broke up for the third time. It is over now, DS said he's not bothered now. She told him that she didn't like him being best friends with a girl in the next year. Not getting involved but do think may be she was a tad jealous? He's only 12 fgs lol

On and Trumpy is Pressie ...watch this space. I don't like him,in fact I can't stand him.

Oh dear sorry you are worrying so much. Laughing aside it is not fun having all that running around your head. Poor DS too, tis better to have loved and lost, and all that.

  • I'm sorry for all the worry too. Is it even a possibility that you would be jailed? Would your employers actually punish you for Southern Rail's incompetence? And if so, is that even legal? I'm just wondering if there is some way to find out the answers to put your mind at rest, it must be so stressful for you. :(

    Congrats on all the NSDs!

    Big hugs xx
  • Morning,

Sorry for my slightly pity post last night.

No I don't think I would be jailed, just my mind doing the whole worst case scenario, if it was going to happen I think they'd have done it there and then.

I could theoretically lose my job, because I'm still on probation til the end of February and so far haven't been on time (due to the trains). Probably won't happen, as they seem fine with everything I'm doing so far.

On the DS side of things, checking his phone this morning and he is now going out with said girl that exgf dumped him for! Think he's treading dangerously.

    NSD's should've read I'm up 9 not I made 9 lol
  • Morning and Happy Sunday :)

I hope everyone is ok? Albeit a bit chilly.

Received a sh!tty message yesterday afternoon from my ex-boss (from the company that couldn't guarantee I'd get paid) to say that "contrary to my beliefs they're still here and thriving. For my information and that's what happens when I listen to tittle tattle"
Is he insinuating that I said they'd go under, never at any point did I say they wouldn't be around, in my resignation I wished the company well for the future. What I don't understand is why contact me 4 months after I left? Is he mad because I didn't respond to his last message? Or is he peed because I've gone to one of their rivals?

I'm not going to stoop to his level and respond, I'm happier now job wise.

    Moving on.

It's Sunday and I have a massive amount to get done today, so that I'm ready for work.

Plan for today is as follows:
    Washing
    Ironing
    Wash up
Sort dinner out - beef casserole :)
    Boots for DH's nicorette
    Tesco for top up shop
    Change our bed
    Clean bathroom quickly

I need to fill in a form for a birthday party DD has been invited to.

Still on target with my weekly allowance and lunches to work, it does help that they provide breakfasts and fruit.

DH gets paid on Friday too.

Right, need to get motivated, back later.

    Hi PM02

What an odd thing to do! How very unprofessional. What right has he to direct his anger your way?

    Hope today is better.
