I'd def avoid EA financial advisor PMO2, they are essentially working for the EA and don't even have good rates most of the time! I'd def see an independent one, especially as you're in temp-perm work, you may need to find a provider who's happy with that. I'm a bit surprised the EA put your house on the market without checking you had a mortgage offer in principle first, that's a bit naughty of them.

As for the EA's FA - no harm in seeing them to see what they can offer, but definitely have a chat with an independant, too.

The EA FA is at a discounted rate, through the EA, so should be ok. But we will see. My new job that I started on Monday is permanent and all they want to see is a copy of my contract.

All the EA's we've spoken to aren't bothered that we've not got an offer first, we've just been told to go and find a house.

Thanks, I am. Just need something in the background to go away, then we can concentrate on the house move and Christmas.

Thanks EH. We do have an independent one that we can speak to but want to see what this one says on Saturday first.

Most mortgage applications will ask for 3 months of payslips, which you won't have. That's if you are going to use your income towards the mortgage application of course.

Out of interest, who's the EA?

I've read some reviews, they're not great. Don't be bullied into using them and check what they say is true. Good luck.

  • Happy December :santa2:

So November NSD's didn't quite go to plan and it'll be hard to get many in December. Personal allowance hasn't gone to plan this last few days either but I'm not giving up.

We will go in to 2017 better prepared than we have for a long time.

I'm quite looking forward to next year. After everything that's happened this year, I'm looking forward not back.
