Truly awful news isn't it :( it's scary.

Hope you've had a nice day. Golf sounds fun!
  • Morning, I hate Monday's

Beef and ale pie for dinner yesterday, haven't made one for ages and used reduced beef I found in Tescos a few weeks back. Must've been good, DH had seconds and DD has seconds of veg.

Spoke to my mum, she's really looking forward to visiting. DH is at the flying club on Saturday, so I've got a full day planned with them lol

DD has an inset day today and DS is back at school. DH has to visit said school to talk to year head about recent behaviour of said small boy.

    Things to pay this week:
    DD's guiding trips
Order part of DS's birthday presents

Everything else is organised and I have my list. Bolognese was made yesterday for Thursday, so just needs defrosting.

Back to my £10 allowance this week.

Didn't do the finances, must do them this weekend.

    Off to get sorted.
  • Hope you have a good day! It's a grey drizzly Monday here, which never helps at the start of the week.

What do you make your £10 a week cover? Sounds like a good idea.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

That's my Monday to Friday at work money, if I don't take my lunch with me (today) then I use that £2 a day to cover my lunch too.

It can be very tricky as I'm working in central London, but I like a challenge :rotfl:
  • I hope you have a lovely day.

Do you work from home when your children are not in school?

    Thanks, you too.

No they're old enough now that they can fend for themselves while we're at work. DH is only a 30 min drive away should anything happen.

    Morning :D

I'm going to pinch the pie idea and for that into my meal plan now :rotfl:

    Have a good day :D

Pinch away, I slow cook the beef before adding it to the pie. It just melts when you eat it then :) x
  • Allowance spent today = £1.95, 5p to carry over.

Not a NSD though as I needed to buy DS a new lunchbox, which means I can get mine (DS's old one) back and I can have salad from home tomorrow.
  • Morning, don't you hate it when you wake up thinking that it's a different day? Woke up thinking that today was Wednesday! Was not impressed.

Dreary, dark and wet outside this morning, hope it doesn't last.

DH went to DS's school yesterday for a meeting with the year head. DS is settling in well and gets on with his work. Only problem is that he talks too much and the new boy that they put him next to also talks too much, so DS gets in trouble, all sorted and they're moving DS so he doesn't get in to any more trouble.

DD back to school today and it's approx 6 weeks until the end of term.

Dinner is Tacos tonight, quick and easy. Aiming for an early night tonight.

    Lunch made for today.

Sorted out holidays with DH for the summer, just need to book them.

Spoke to recruitment agency yesterday, they've someone in mind to put me to and wanted to know if it was ok? Company is a 40 min drive from home, so told them yes to putting me through. So we'll see.

Need to send over updated references to both agencies.

That's all for now, back later.
