I had something similar happen to me, had a letter from DVLA - didn't open it as I saw it was to someone else - just returned it. Some months later a Policewoman knocked at the door wanting to speak to the name on the envelope!
A lot of correspondence ensured, including involving our MP - easy to get paranoid - why did he pick our address!?I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

About 1 year after I bought the house I now own, a letter came addressed to "The parents of xxxx xxxx".
The parents were the people I purchased the property from and the letter was regarding a penalty charge that their daughter has incurred a few weeks previously for travelling on a train without a valid ticket.
She obviously didn't want mum or dad finding out so she gave an old address.
I simply returned the letter to the sender giving the last know address I had for the family concerned and this was the last I heard of the matter.0 -
