I did say at the beginning that we bought car 19 months ago. We have proved by an independent garage that car has a hole in cylinder no 5. What we need to try and prove is was there a fault when we bought car that caused this.
The Finance company simply want to know what caused the hole in the cylinder. A defect in the cylinder (due to a fault during manufacture) or whether it was caused by something else/a lack of maintenance0 -
Thankyou to everyone for no help whatsoever and some very smart remarks0

That's a tad unfair - you've been far from forthcoming with all the information needed to help you - there's still doubt on whether you've had the car 15m or 27m but my summary of the situation so far is
You bought a 2.7d Jag S Type in 2014 from a Jag dealer with a low mileage and presumably paid some of the cost via credit card
You've then run it for another 14k miles at which point cylinder 5 had holed according to your independent dealer ?
You've subsequently gone back to supplying dealer who have dismissed you and Jaguar CRC who have done likewise so are now looking to fall back on a S75 claim
Your S75 claim is going to go nowhere after you've put 14k on the car - the problem obviously wasn't there when you bought it but your issue is why it has failed at such a low mileage and how you get it fixed at minimal cost
If you can explain how/why the supplying dealer and Jaguar CRC have dismissed your claim then maybe you can get some more help but until then you're not helping yourself in getting responses from us0 -
