    Hi
The chick pe crepes sound lovely, are they a home made recipe?

Wow, I love your meal plan! You've given me some ideas I can use!

Thank you both for your kind comments.
The chickpea crepes are so easy, they have a slight taste of the "bean" about them, but it makes them really very savoury. I find that I prefer them jazzed up a little with some herbs or spices. They're known as socca/farinata or pudla depending upon if you're from the Med or the Indian subcontinent.

So, all you do is to soak chickpea/gram flour in 1.5 ish volumes of water (more water=thinner pancake) for an hour or so. I usually soak 1 cup of chickpea flour with 1.5 cups of water, which makes about 6 pancakes. Then add any flavourings you want. Start with a teaspoon of salt, then just add in anything you want. For indian, I usually add coriander/garlic/chilli, or if you want to go Mediterranean, try mixed herbs

Then fry off as you would a normal pancake: a little oil then some batter in a pan, swirling the pan to create a thin even layer. They are lovely served warm with a curry !

You could also make a huuuuge batch of onion bhajis & freeze. I made some recently & decided to bake rather than fry them. I softened up the onions first in a pan, added spices, then stirred through a thick chickpea batter & dolloped mounds on a baking tray. They ended up spreading a bit & flattening out but still tasted great !
  • The chickpea crepes sound great! I've added them to my meal plan app and will definitely use next time a curry is in the weekly plan.

I've just been looking out recipes and am planning to make these recipes over the next week (I go Friday to Friday)

Split Pea Soup (topped with grated carrot and spring onion)
Cuban Black Beans with Kale - served with Jacket or Rice or Salad
Leek Barlotto (barley instead of rice) - may serve with Salad
Walnut, Tomato and Basil Spaghetti (I will do half spaghetti and half spiralised courgettes)
    Slow Cooker Lentil Soup

A meal plan app sounds good! What's it called?

DD away most of this week so I have an unimaginative meal plan:

    Sun - chicken dinner
    Mon - pasta bolognaise
Tue - chicken and rice (Thai curry sauce for the adults)
Wed - HM chicken pie with chips and peas
Thurs - Spanish omelette, sausages and beans
    Fri - HM pizzas
