thank you for the new thread Deleted_User!

Gemzie - im sending you all my love, your work are being heinous with you and i hope they know just what a fight they will be up against!

i had a really good month last month with only 5 ins from my love lula box and 20 UUs! hoping i can stick to just the love lula and vegan kind beauty box this month for ins too. I know they are technically unnecessary but they give me something to look forward too, have been good value for money so far and I've discovered some new HG i wouldn't have thought about before. They are also properly helping me go cruelty free as well as in the main they've been just as good if not better than the non cruelty free items they have replaced!

the start of August was was my official one year CF in make up and skincare too. :j Ive switched hair colour to naturtint too and was actually surprised at how well its done! deodorant is next, I've tried more natural ones in the past and they just haven't really doe the job. if anyones got any recommendations, id love to have them!

    A few UUs:

    - Aldi Dentitex mouthwash. WBA - already have! Cheap, and works.

    - dr. organic Bio-Plasma Mud Mask. WDNB. Stung, and didn't seem to do anything. No idea why I didn't just chuck this. It was a big tube and lasted ages! Anyway, finally gone. Fortunately it was a 'freebie' in a beauty box.

    - Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse mini. WNB. Have a few of these. Nice, but I prefer the Elemis oils which are a big thicker. This is just a little too thin for me, so harder to use. Happy to use it though when I get it free!

I tried a different colour of Nails Inc gel effect polish (Soho Place - a nice aqua/green colour), and it's lasted really well! So I'm reserving judgement I have plenty of pinks though, so I'm happy to GA the pink one that chipped/peeled really quickly anyway. It wasn't my favourite pink colour.

Congrats! That's really inspiring. I'll have to start looking closer at my stuff as I come around to replacing it. I think it's all CF, but I couldn't say for definite...

    Hi everyone

Long time lurking and trying to cut down on my stash, but just can’t seem to get through it all, or avoid boots when it’s triple points or the body shop sales!!!!

    ...

Wow!!!!! 46 products:eek: all of which are open and been used to some extent I really need to finish off a bottle before I start a new one!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: If I can get through all of these my bathroom and dressing table will look pretty empty

And welcome Vicky too :) I'm impressed with the progress you've made already. And yes, it's great, and very encouraging, when you see space starting to appear! I can actually see all my products now, which really helps with shopping, and remembering what I still have to use lol.

So I took stock in the bathroom earlier and the only product that is really spluttering is my PCMC. This pot will be finished in the next day or so. I had a mishap though. Have a 900ml bottle of Tresemme conditioner on the go and it's got to the stupid stage whereby the bottle has squished in completely in the middle making it really difficult to get product from. So I thought I would cut the bottle open and depot it however there is still some left in the cut off bottle following repotting. I can't push the bottom of the bottle back in place either as it is too squished.WDNBA. Pointless packaging!
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Well done. I hope to go more organic/cruelty free in the future. I am making an effort to reduce my and my family's impact on the environment.

I find it odd that different colours of the same formula vary in lasting power you would expect them to be the same.

    I have some uu's

Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body wash 250ml - this was used by the kids in their swim kit and on holidays. It did the job but I usually buy Asda Little Angels version.

Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion 50ml - gorgeous WMBA

Clarins Eau de Jardins 100ml - WNBA, no lasting power but I do love the Eau Dynamisante and Resourcante versions (sp?).

My Little Beauty Body Sorbet 100ml - this was a cooling body lotion so ideal for this time of year, smelt of sherbert, I can't buy again as it is only sold in France and probably wouldn't anyway.

    Thanks Deleted_User, belatedly.

, just to say that there's been some wonderful advice already given re DDA and procedures, not much I can add to that. Wishing you love and strength. Think of Baroness Tanni, she never lets the b's grind her down... I am gobsmacked at the lack of disability awareness being shown, but I often am, sad to say. I had the great good fortune to work for places where DDA was fully in action, but education is usually ahead of care in this respect. Not always.

As a fellow Disabled person I sympathise enormously.
We have to prove we are twice as good, before people start think of us being half as good.

Sickness is just one example, I knew people would see me as being weaker generally if I was off sick, so I never was.
I've worked on and off (mostly on) for forty years and had three days sickness in that time. Working from home now; that pressure is off.

I had a Beauty Recommended box arrive, so had NB ins of Pantene shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, Nioxin intensive conditioner (lovely), Sebastian whipped cream conditioner and volumising spray and an Olay Regenerist moisturiser with SPF 30. I'd had the identical thing from Amazon and it's been my go-to moisturiser on sunny days.

That's my last lot from Beauty Recommended although I think I can apply again.

Had some coral coloured Carmex arrive, NBI, supposed to be peach, 2g of product only with this and 2x the price as it's slimline lippy format, did they see us coming?!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

I didn't get my list done today as out shopping for daughters school uniform, will get it down tomorrow.

On a positive note, I didn't buy anything although tempted as I was also in wilkos... I may have to stop going down the product aisle until I have more willpower as it was hard.

The toiletries are slowly getting used up - hand cream I have at work is at the point of me beginning to squeeze out the last bits of product. It won't be long until I've finished my current pack of face wipes. I've also finished another body lotion and have replaced in the bathroom with an almost empty Vaseline body lotion.

    UU
Nivea Pure & Natural Body Lotion 250ml - This has Argan Oil and is subtly scented, not overpowering. It's a light moisturiser which absorbs quickly so I wasn't convinced it would make my skin very soft but I was very pleasantly surprised. Another aspect I liked was the packaging - it has a pop cap which is really handy and the lid is very tightly on (so less danger of spillage if you were take this on holiday. I haven't tested this out but I'm fairly confident). Another superb product from Nivea. WDBA.

I have a couple of eyeliners on the go and have noticed that one wasn't producing much pigment though I haven't quite reached the end of it. I will try it out again before my night out tomorrow and if it's still not working I will chuck it as I have others in the stash.
