Shandyclover, sorry to hear about your redundancy! I hope you find something suitable quickly. It's D Day for OH tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.
Used my new Tresemme coconut milk and aloe Vera conditioner tonight and loved it. Smelled amazing.
No UUs or INs to report in the last week :-)#27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61
#42 £2 Savers Club = £160
*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.0 -
On this note I throw down a little challenge to anyone who fancies it. Select one item from your stash that you have been keeping for best and crack it open this week. Mine is a 500ml bottle of L'occitane Shea Bubble Bath which I am going to use for the first time tonight.
Great idea!I've got lots of things which are nice that I haven't got round to using yet. Hm let me think...I've got some lovelier shampoos - the current anti-dandruff one has a few drops left but as soon as it's gone, I'll get the most expensive one out straight away rather than just go to the next one in the stash.

I will need to cut my Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom cleanser bottle open today as the pump stopped working yesterday. There's no way this will eek out to the end of the month. Have other cleansers I can use. Let's hope my oil Mattifying primer will work on its own.
Have seen two new items that I feel I need (in my life-as they say on YouTube):-
From the new OPI Collection there is a very deep chocolate colour called Shh.Top Secret (I think) which I saw in Sally's yesterday. Looked so beautiful. Also saw on Temptalia yesterday a new Smashbox lipstick called Calypso which was gorgeous burnt orange colour. Remember having a lipstick like that in the past and loved it.
Did repaint my nails last night and am wearing Leighton Denny Indulgence.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I have some uu's
Aromatherapy Associates De Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil 7.5ml - WNBA, 9 bottles of these oils to go. I do enjoy using them but they don't do anything other than offer a nice scent.
Elemis Revitalise Me Shower Gel 50ml - love this and would happily use again but wouldn't pay their prices for it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Great ideas, ladies. I will dig out an expensive face powder and put that in my handbag rather than the meh cheap one I am using at the moment.
Awesome! When I was clearing out my mum's house I found the tea service she was given at her wedding. It had been in storage for decades because she was so scared of breaking it. I now use it every day when I have my morning herbal tea. Yes, I may break it one day, but better I get to feel like a fancy lady every morning than have it sitting in storage!
I have a lovely Tea set I was bought a couple of years ago, that I keep for visitors, who I rarely have. Going to start having a nice pot of tea with a cup and saucer on lazy Sundays. Also have a lovely very expensive dinner set that rarely gets used, maybe I should try and find reasons for using that as well.0 -
I too, stopped saving things for best quite a while ago, I am trying to use oldest first, unless with facial items, my skin needs something specific even if it is newer. I have a rubbish memory so have started noting the started date, after finding a few items with shorter shelf life.:(
I have also stopped saving Make up and toiletries Items for best, I just tend to use what I feel like at the time now rather than saving stuff.
I have had a build up of freebie make up items that I wasn't bothered about though, and have started making an effort to use these up as otherwise they would just sit there forever, but I tend to use then on work days, when I tend to wear simpler makeup.0 -
A few more UUs, this month is going well! After a very slow July though
- Clinique All About Eyes mini - WNB, but only as I prefer the rich version, which I do buy a lot
- Dove Beauty finish deo - WNBA. I think someone else commented on this earlier too, I find the compressed cans don't last as long, so I'm not buying them anymore.
- Ciate mini nailpolish in 'headliner'. WDBA - one of my fave colours. Fortunately I have another mini bottle of it, phew! Though the newer one is a slightly different tone. Still lovely though. Managed one coat of my nails with the old bottle last night, but had to do the second coat with the new bottle.
Two little freebie in's too from Lancome - I went to get a Juicy Shaker (how cute and lovely are those?!) as a pressie for a friend, and the SA was so lovely and chatty and gave me 2 minis, which will be perfect for my upcoming holiday:
- Genefique 5ml, and Visionnaire 5ml.0 -
I managed to fill up my mini gym bottle of shampoo, from the bigger bottle, so no need to buy the mini ones any more :j
I'm wearing my ghost perfume and it smells lushI also didn't buy any products even though I walked down the product aisle, which is a habit I must break!

Ive picked out lush rose jam shower gel (one of my many lush gels that i love the most and save too much!) had the best shower with it last night!
I had 2 uus too:
Along came betty foaming lovely face wash 50ml- WBA if i can find it again. Really nice in all ways - consistency, scent etc. this one was a winner for me!
Along came betty pore fect polish face scrub 50ml- WBA if i can find this again. Like the face wash, this had a great scent and consistency and it was scrubby enough without stinging or being too harsh. I want a bigger tube of this if i can find one.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

I was naughty and did a Body Shop order while there was a good offer on.
So my INs are:
1.TBS Aloe Toner
2. TBS Camomile EMUR
3. TBS British Rose Body Butter
4. TBS British Rose Mini Body Butter
5. TBS British Rose Mini Shower Gel
6. TBS Coconut Body Butter
7. TBS Coconut Lip Butter
8. TBS Coconut Shower Gel
It was 30% off and the Coconut trio was a GWP. I was going to give it away but then I smelt it and now I'm keeping it!
I UU'd a couple of perfume samples. Valentino Donna - WNB- and Hugo Boss Woman - WMB.
On the subject of keeping things for best, I don't think I do this with makeup/toiletries/perfume but I do it with candles. I bought two Diptyque candles in the SpaceNK January Sale before last and they are both still in the cellophane. They were Christmas Limited Editions though so might be better waiting for winter to use them. Or maybe I'll just crack one open anyway! I like 'winter' scents so why wait for winter to use them?0
