I have a uu
Clarins Brightening Toner 125ml - WNBA, I'm not into these type of exfoliating products, anything that makes your skin more sensitive to the sun can't be good imo.
Also got rid of some hair care products I will never use as they are either for straight hair or for blow drying:
Tigi Blow Out Balm x 2
Charles Worthington Straightening Balm x 2
Richard Ward Volumising Root Booster x 2 - this is horrible and makes my hair sticky and dry.
Fudge Hot Hed Style Whip Mousse - I used most of this but it was just coming out as slightly foamy liquid not mousse, makes hair sticky too.
I've decided to be brutal with my stash as I am going on and if I don't like it it is going.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
Fashion on the Ration 28/660 -
UU - mini bottle of herbal essence shampoo, this I take to the gym.. will try to refill bottle with what shampoo is in the house, otherwise I will buy again just as it saves space in my gym bag!Grocery Challenge - Aug 407.97/£320 - NSD 3/5
September 195.19 / 300
Konmarie my house along side being a flylady!0 -
UU - Schol night foot mask, wouldn't buy again.. I'm going to use up all my hand creams that I don't like on my feet as this was the only foot one I had left!
I've realised doing this challenge, that the stuff I like I barely use as I like to keep it for best, trouble is I don't go out... so it's sat doing nothing.. eye opening challenge!
When I cleared out my mum's house I found cupboards full of barely-used toiletries, candles and even jewellery that she kept for best. Her bathroom was full of cheap stuff. It made me sad and really opened my eyes. I now wear my nice perfume every day because TBH I am the one who should be getting the most enjoyment out of it so why was I just using it for nights out? I am now also more ruthless about throwing things out. I do still try to be frugal, but I would find I was spending all my time trying to use up toiletries I hated and never getting on to the ones I love.
On that note onto some TAs!
Elvive Extraordinary Clay dry shampoo - absolutely the worst dry shampoo I have ever used. My hair did not look or feel any different after using it.
Pear Shower Gel - hard-to-squeeze bottle and horrible smell. I thought it would smell like the lovely soap, but it smells like a really strong cheap aftershave. Hideous.0 -

On this note I throw down a little challenge to anyone who fancies it. Select one item from your stash that you have been keeping for best and crack it open this week. Mine is a 500ml bottle of L'occitane Shea Bubble Bath which I am going to use for the first time tonight.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I'm totally in on the side challenge, I'll choose my ghost perfume, I love the smell of it but it's a one that I kept for best and never used!Grocery Challenge - Aug 407.97/£320 - NSD 3/5

I don't do this anymore! I learnt not to recently with the wasted Jlo Glow body lotion.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

i sometimes save clothes for best but fashions change i gain or loose weight, and i feel that now i should wear nice stuff everyday even for a coffee by myself. make everyday a good day. I get bored with shopping for new items, when i have better at home.
no more in but no outs. had a bit of bad luck that turned into really good luck when i had to bring the car to the dealership. what i understood was a big job was much much smaller.0 -
Great ideas, ladies. I will dig out an expensive face powder and put that in my handbag rather than the meh cheap one I am using at the moment.savingfortomorrow wrote: »i sometimes save clothes for best but fashions change i gain or loose weight, and i feel that now i should wear nice stuff everyday even for a coffee by myself. make everyday a good day. Awesome! When I was clearing out my mum's house I found the tea service she was given at her wedding. It had been in storage for decades because she was so scared of breaking it. I now use it every day when I have my morning herbal tea. Yes, I may break it one day, but better I get to feel like a fancy lady every morning than have it sitting in storage!0 -
First UU for August:D
30ml Hydraluron 1/58
Original Source Raspberry and vanilla shower gel 2/59
I too, stopped saving things for best quite a while ago, I am trying to use oldest first, unless with facial items, my skin needs something specific even if it is newer. I have a rubbish memory so have started noting the started date, after finding a few items with shorter shelf life.:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
