    Thanks Hex and Lynne :)

Today my son is going out with his youth worker for the day. He gets this through the local authority disability team, so it's free.

Meanwhile, myself and my youngest son are going to play tennis for the afternoon :) I think it'll cost about £10, but we need some quality mum & son time.

I'll take a packed lunch and some drinks, so we wont spend any money on food or drink.

    Afternoon All :)

Today has been a NSD..the first one in a while!

All food has been from the stocks, all washing has been dried on the line, i have written next weeks budget, i feel super organised!

HOWEVER- tonight there are Fireworks in town...so we will go in on the train to watch them, as long as the weather is better. That'll cost about £10.

    Afternoon All :)

-Put another £180 into my EF (Emergency Fund) so now have £580 in there.
-Got some free snack bars being sent to me from a yummy brand, in return for answering some questions for them.

We didn't go and watch the fireworks in the end, as neither of the kids wanted to, so saved some money there. Put the £10 towards a new saucepan instead..rock and roll :D

I am NOT doing well on the spreadsheet. As much as i want to keep on top of it, and update it every time i spend some money or receive some money, i just seem to forget..or hate doing it!

I really think that pen and paper is more my thing.

The meal planning is going so well! I dont know why i havent done this before more regularly! It has saved money and time, not having to think about what i am making, and running to the supermarket to get a pizza because i've left it too late and am hungry!

    Morning All :)

I had an unexpected spend of almost £60 today, as i had to take my cat to the vet. She had a fight with a stray, and has picked up an infection :(

    Vets are expensive!

I updated the spreadsheet last night, in a last ditch attempt to keep up with it.

    Poor kitty, hope she's okay?

Thanks PMO2. She hasn't been very well at all since Saturday evening. The vet confirmed she has a temperature and infection.
She was given an antibiotic injection and some anti-inflammatories to take for the next few days.

She is feeling sorry for herself, but will be right as rain in a few days apparently.

My Emergency fund is over half way full now, so should be at £1K in a few weeks.
Then the hardcore debt repayments start!

I took my dog to the vets last week cos occasionally he has itching sessions and has to go on tablets to calm everything down. Tablets which are steroids usually cost about £8 a month, but was told that now there is a tablet which is much better for him, not a steroid and would cost £48 a month  . Thankfully his itching has stopped and I have been given some very good advise from an owner of a dog with a similar condition.
:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.00

Wow, what a difference in price!

My vet tried to get me to buy a Feliway (to relax and calm her inside the house) but she isn't stressed out inside the house at all, it's just when she goes outside and gets set upon by the local stray (who obviously hasn't been 'done').

Glad to hear your boy is OK now and that the itching has stopped. They can make you worry something awful cant they!
