It says its 85% downloaded now so will see what happens when it finishes and if I have the problem again, I'll try that.
Can I be downloading the tool onto the Ext hard drive while Win 10 is downloading on lappy?0 -
Yup
Personally I'd download them both to the external drive, just incaseif you have room on it that is!

When I've just downloaded the tool it says its Windows 7, shouldn't it be Windows 10?
The downloaded file is still saying its preparing for installation, doesn't seem to have moved much on the scale
It is flashing and sounds as though its doing something0 -
If there's an option asking you about checking for updates, change the default and don't check for updates. Apparently Microsoft's servers are struggling with that part of the process as everyone tries to upgrade at the last minute, so it takes ages.0
