Another viewing after offer accepted

I requested the vendors number so I could contact them directly after our offer was accepted, we arranged several more viewings for "measuring up" and letting relatives view the house. The vendors were quite happy with us going round.0

What is this 'measuring up' people seem to arrange appointments for? Just ask the agent to arrange another look, and say your mum is excited too and wants to see it!0

We viewed our house several times. After the second viewing we made an offer. The third time we wanted to check things like lights/heating etc and get another opinion from my father-in-law. Like others, we also got the direct contact details of the seller after putting a note through the door. This made the sale far less stressful rather than going through estate agents and solicitors and getting mixed messages.0

It's totally normal practice to view again, maybe even several times. I would expect a buyer to do so myself.0
-
I viewed three times before exchange, including once one hour before exchange (to check its condition at the point of exchange).
I would be suspicious of someone who made such a huge decision based on a 10-mmin scan. Id want my buyers to look twice or more.
Just ask, they will be happy to accommodate you.0 -

I'm going to arrange another visit to the house I've had an offer accepted on, and it genuinely is to measure!
We are at the point now where we are buying furniture and although we have the room dimensions, it doesn't take into account where the doors, stairs etc. are so need to make sure the sofa and other bits we buy will fit with enough room to get round.0 -
You're dropping a five or six figure sum (or more!) on the house, you should be able to view as much as you like within reason.
The sellers should be fine with it but if they aren't, ask yourself what have they got to hide?0 -
The vendors wouldn't mind you coming back, even two or three times.
Half a dozen times would be a PITA and would probably get them wondering how to get rid of you.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Provision for second and third viewings is written into most contracts (missives) in Scottish sales, typically thus;
"The Seller will, after conclusion of the Missives (= exchange of contracts), and upon receipt of reasonable notice by the Purchaser, give access to the Purchaser or his agents to the Property at reasonable times for the purposes of inspection, measurement or the provision of quotations. This right of access however shall not be exercised on more than 2 occasions without the consent of the Seller."
If the E&W system would just formalise these things in the same way...0
