Just started clearing out the spare room and found over £20 in change from when my boyfriend was working away! Logging it as £20 and out the rest in my purse to use at the self service checkouts - the land where I get rid of my change, haha.

  • I've had a surprise £119 become payable on topcashback today. I wasn't expecting it because one was a claim for missing cashback and one was saying 26 weeks to become payable yesterday. So I'm very happy with that. Quite a good start to the month :)

I've had a few months off from this challenge but will ease myself back in with £5 a day.

I don't know about everyone else but July was an expensive month for me - first a holiday and then my car failed its MOT and cost a lot to get it fixed - so the extra money from this challenge will be really handy this month.

Not offended at all carbootcrazy. It's lovely having Lynn on board to help.

I bought my glasses from glasses direct on a discounted offer and cashback. Missed the mse offer but pleased to say am very happy with my £25 glasses fitted with my prescription. They are great and didn't cost £180 from s8e8s9v9r9s!!!

Are yours varifocals, Aesop? I went to a High Street chain but my 2 pairs together don't cost anywhere near £180:eek:. Well, they did with the varifocal lenses as that's extra but with regular lenses they won't. Plus, I had an additional money-off voucher. Lovely frames too and I was very pleased with the after-sales service as I need to have the frames adjusted in several ways to fit (always do wherever they're from, something to do with the size/shape of my face and head). That's the only reason I don't buy from online sellers;).

Just reporting the sale of a book on Amazon which will net £19.20 profit:j. That book's been listed for well over a year and I was considering lowering some of my prices just to get rid of them. Glad I didn't now;). Just been to post it, won't receive payment from Amazon until Friday so not adding it yet.

Also, have withdrawn all the cashback that has eventually come payable (13 weeks!) in TCB. That's another £67:j but again, not adding until it clears.

Have just heard that a weekly car boot sale that I used to go to pretty regularly once upon a time has started up again. They closed down for the whole of last year because the field has open access and it was constantly being taken over by travellers. Things seem to have been sorted now, the owners have erected fences and gates. Must have cost them a fortune, it's a massive area. Buyers aren't allowed on to the field so early now, we have to wait for the owner to unlock the gates. I like to get to these things super-early so I have plenty of time to unload and set up but this is a good one and it will be lovely to spend a few hours in that field with it's stunning views again:j. Today is going to be spent rummaging in the sheds amongst the spiders and cobwebs:eek:

  • Does anybody else use nationwide for their mortgage? Just had a look at overpayments on my account and it says £349 when I know for a fact its a lot more.

Bit concerning and will keep my eye on it over the next week or so and will have to get in contact with them.
