    Morning,

I still don’t feel well and to top it off all the chn are now unwell too. I also had another stomach upset last night ..... silver lining I had a nsd and lost a couple of pounds in weight :rotfl:

I was thinking about my debt and I’m pleased with how much we have cleared and I just need to keep going. I need to stop looking at the whole amt!

With regards to jobs I’m not going to stress about that either as I don’t think this is helping my health. I will still check regularly but it has to fit around the chn and that’s the most important fact.

    Have a good frugal day.

    Morning,

We are all still Ill including dh :(

I’ve been really thinking about how quick my children are growing up and it’s saddening me. I have spent so much time on this debt and I’m not doing it anymore. What I mean by that is I will still try and be frugal and enjoy the free things in life but I will not think about the debt as a whole and look at my spreadsheets 24/7. The good thing is that if I don’t spend any money then I won’t have anything to log on my spreadsheet!! This month I’ve enjoyed several free things and when the nicer weather comes there will be many more.

    Have a lovely frugal day!

You don’t need to spend money to have fun. Kids don’t care how much you spend (not the younger ones anyway). Difficulty we find when entertaining our 2 year old granddaughter on our childminding day is when it is wet or cold. We take her to a toddler gym session on Monday mornings with soft play etc which costs £5 then cafe usually. We can afford that obviously but not easy if you are watching every penny. It is easier when it is sunny out to find free stuff to do.

I think for you focusing on small targets like getting rid of a card at a time would work. Keep plugging away at it.

My aim is to clear the Nuba first £1350 but then I’m not sure if it should be my barclaycard which is 0% until Jan 2019 or dh’s bc which is 6.9% for the life of the balance.
  • Why are you tackling Nuba first? Is it because it is the lowest or does the 0% deal finish soon?

Yes that is definitely the one to tackle first then.

    Hi,

I’ve had a nsd and I have done a meal plan until next pay day to try and work how much I will spend. Am going to write a list of free local activities.

I made a £100 sake yesterday ( not profit) but have paid that as extra on my cc.

Hope everyone is having a nice day.

    Morning,

I’m planning on another nsd today. The less I spend the less I have to log. I’ve worked out that in January so far I’ve spent £250 on food for five of us. My aim is to use gift cards for the rest of the month ( £13). I’m quite pleased with that amount and I’m sure I could have cut it back more as I buy too many snacky foods. I need to stop that and bake more cakes etc. I’ve never made biscuits
