I understand what you are saying but is it not better I incur a small amount of interest for two months ( I deliberately did it after the bill had been made to incur one lot of less interest) then pay 29.9% from December that was my worry.

It depends on the amounts involved. Did you do the maths calculations? I have looked at your post a few pages back with the deals you currently have and cannot see one finishing in December unless this is the one your Dad took out for you in which case that was a very short deal and not worth bothering about?

You seem to have a lot on 6.9% life of balance which ok is better than 29.9% but £10k per annum on this is £690 per year in interest so do not underestimate how much these cost you. Same goes with short balance transfer deals. Best deals are 0% long deals with very low or zero balance transfer fees (extremely rare I know;))

Well done though for keeping an eye on the dates for the deals ending as I cannot fault you for that.

This is one of my dh card that I thought the whole balance was due to end next June ( currently on 0%) however something made me double check it and I realised £3k ends in Dec.
  • Why not contact the card provider and find out how that money would be allocated if it was paid off now? the worry is always that something "unexpected" will come up and you'll feel you have to use the stashed money for that, and then it won;'t be there for it's planned purpose when needed...

    Good luck for the interview!

Thanks. I had a spare half an hour and looked it up and from what I can see they allocated last months payment to the Dec balance as that part had reduced so think it is like that. I paid a chunk off with the transfer money.

    Morning,

Finally dh has been paid... it feels like a very long time! All minimums have been paid. Just need sales! I'm really hoping once ppl get paid that things will improve as it's been awful lately as have surveys.

    Morning,

I need to sort my signature out over the next few days but have a full on few days. Today I should only spend about a fiver , tom nothing as am going to people's houses but have gifts already but Sunday could be costly of at least £30:(

I've done more top up shops but it's hard to work out as I bought Xmas pressies in them so if I roughly deduct the cost of that then this week I've spent approx £75.

Have a sch mtg this morn, a friend over and I need to whizz round with the Hoover before she comes.

    Have a great day.
  • Sounds like a busy day and weekend planned.

    Have fun x

I have another interview for a job that I would love, perfect hours and will bring in around £400 plus potential of overtime. Really would love to get it!
