Hi,
I just wanted to say I think you are doing so well. Think of how much more debt you'd have if you weren't budgeting. I've also been in debt for 13 years and am sick of it. We both earn a great wage & should be enjoying things, instead of strugglingTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thank you so much for your kind words. Good luck with your debt free road, it's rubbish isn't it? It sounds like we are in a similar position , do you have a diary?0 -
You are doing so well, how are the 10000 steps going? X2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
2017. Lets start this again shall we?

Thank you. I have managed another 10000 steps today, I made myself go for two walks as if not I knew I wouldn't do enough steps. I think I have eaten around 1500 calories but may have gone slightly over by 100. I have had my first nsd for September.
I received another job rejection:mad:, the ridiculous thing is that they are not for jobs that I particularly wanted but still feel like a failure. I never used to have a problem to get an interview, is it me or has getting an interview become even harder? I have just spent two hours applying for another job ( it is only a christmas postition for 8 weeks but they still make you answer over 40 questions!)0 -
I have already done over 10000 steps again today. I have spent money as I needed a few toiletries but tomorrow should be a nsd. I haven't made any more payments towards the capital one as money has been a bit tight so will wait until next payday ( I'm self employed but count it from when my husband gets paid which is on the 20th) I might make a small payment just so I feel like it's going down.
I finally have an interview! It's a full time position but it is only for 8 weeks so hopefully I can manage that. I am ideally looking for part time but hoping if I get it , that it will lead to a permanent part time role.0 -
Well done on the steps and fingers crossed on the interview.0

I decided to make a £30 payment towards the capital one as thought it is better than nothing.
I forgot today will be a spend day as I need to pick up my son's bike for his birthday!
Have lots of jobs to do around the house and admin so better crack on.0 -
First of all well done on taking the bull by the horns to deal with your debts. That will get easier over time.
With regards to weight the one thing I had to accept was that despite having the appetite (lol) the same as my husband, I don't burn off calories as much as he does, so he stays the same weight, and I have over time gradually got bigger. My method for dealing with this is to have a smaller plate! I still feel full and now at least I am not gaining! Maybe something for you to try? It is more sustainable long term that reducing your calorie intake per se.
good luck with both missions
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks, I agree about portion size as I def eat way too much. I did another 10000 steps yesterday but had my naughty day with food!
Not much to say on the money front as my business is slow and I have spent money due to my son's birthday. But saying that I do feel it's more controlled as I have savings and money allocated for things, basically I'm actually trying to stick to a budget!0 -
