Vendor mis-representation

A gardening expert who goes around and tells people to cut their grass once a week would be the coolest job ever.
No. It really wouldn't. It'd be just another crappy door-to-door sales job.0 -
OP wants Compo, absolutely no chance. What exactly have you lost?
Instead of whining, you actually have gained from a garden becoming a jungle."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Okays - quick re-think time here - and howzabout designating the garden a Wildlife Haven. Just leave it be and wait for wild flowers to grow/happy bees to come buzzing in to pollinate them/etc.
Sorted...:)0 -

Even cooler is being a company that convinces people looking after their own lawn is beyond them....0 -
It's a fairly clear-cut case.
You should set up a contract with a gardening firm for weekly maintenance, and forward copies ofthe bills to the vendor.
If she does not reimburse you, send a "Letter Before Action", wait another 10 days, and then start procedings via https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/web/mcol/welcome?hc_location=ufi
Thanks for the advice. How many years of garden maintenance contract can I insist the vendor reimburse me. I think 5 years is reasonable and will probably have sold the house then. And been HONEST to the new owner! :mad:0 -
I suggest you go to market & get one of these. Much easier..........."The truth is of course is that there is no journey.
We are arriving and departing all at the same time."0 -
Another sideline here - assuming meeting all necessary requirements of course:)
Having your own fresh organic unpasteurised unhomogenised milk literally there on your doorstep for the taking
......hang on a minute....I think that means I've just decided I could do with being your neighbour (in order to buy my milk supplies off you). I can only manage to buy my milk organic at present and it's been both pasteurised and even homogenised before I can get my hands on it:(. Must be lots of us that have got our eyes open for decent milk....and not found a source of supply yet...0 -
mow half one week and the other half the following week. Therefore on average only mowing the whole lawn once a fortnight. As a bonus at no point will the whole lawn be excessively long. Next erect some tall screening to completely shade the garden and stop plants growing excessively. This will slow the growth down AND save other neighbors having to look at your ridiculous half mowed garden.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

But how long should the ex-vendor be expected to pay for this? Is five years reasonable? I bought this house LESSthan 12 months ago.
Seriously, THEY need to change the rules on vendor mis-representation0
