Had a call on my mobile three days ago from an 0800 number ...
This feature does have a genuine use. When a genuine business calls, the number they show is for their inbound callcentre. When a scammer calls, the displayed number may be just random junk or it may show the number of a legitimate business, such as a bank or government department. Never trust the displayed number as being proof the caller is really from that organisation.0
