Water Bill Too Expensive on a Meter

    Also in Essex, consumed 64 cu.m last year. Just two of us in semi-detached house. Combined cost about £27 per month, but paid half-yearly. Water from E&SW, Sewerage to Anglian. I think we are quite economical on water consumption.


    More or less the same for me in Chelmsford.

    To be honest I think to get all the water I need (I don't waste but I don't ration myself), plus sewerage, for less than £30 per month is a bargain. I spend a similar amount most months on my weekly treat of cappuccino and lemon muffin in Costa's.

    60 cubic metres seems like a lot to me. I'm a single person and use about 17 a year

    Direct debit is set at £14 a week but I am in credit.
    2 bed house with one occupant. No particular efforts to save water here though.

    That is why drinking beer instead of water reduces the bill.
