    £land Challenge is great isn't it Bob? DS got a new phone case yesterday, which he's been after for absolutely ages. DD couldn't be bothered and bought crisps. But it passes time for not that much money.

    That was a good purchase for him. Hopefully no more broken ones!

    Afternoon All

    I was really pleased to remember the two month council tax break coming up after the next payment. This means technically we start 2017 owing £484. Of course the two payments of £138 have still got to clear for that to be true, but it is money we aren't used to having so as last year, it can just go straight to the debt. Such a good buzz!

    As our situation is improving and we don't rely on debt to live, just don't have a huge amount to throw at repayment, I feel we are doing ok going into the new year.

    And there is still the £100 free money to come from First Direct switching. So debt could also be seen as £384 before the first quarter is done!

    Anyway! Last night was another bad one. DD is in a cycle of going down to sleep at 7, waking at 12 then being impossible to put back to bed till the early hours. Last night we were both up with her at 4am. So of course our day started late. Happenings of the day,
    * Tidied round.
    * Heated up more of the home made soup for the flask
    * Our christmas grocery shop is still providing food! I have spent on necessary items like coffee, catfood, butter, squash and nappies since Xmas Eve but aside from some salad veg no fresh food has been bought. That's a week tommorow, pretty happy with that.
    * We tried to go swimming today but the pool had issues. I have complained and will wait to see what we are offered.
    * Spent £4.90 in one small independent shop on treats. We know the owner and it's obvious that trade is very slow for all the small shops this week. So doing our bit to help.
    * DD in another new outfit courtesy of Father C.
    * Sent a reminder message to one customer who owes me money. It was a polite message, not stressing but also it's cheeky so...
    * Had a chat with DH whilst we are both awake and able, and he agrees things feel so much better for us going into 2017 than 2016.
    * Dinner will either be a use it up meat and veg pie in leftover gravy, topped with a puff pastry lid from the freezer or another night of fridge dive and salad.

    I hope everyone here is warm, safe & has options for 2017. Thanks for reading, lurking, commenting & generally keeping me company since August.

    Bob
