    Hi there

So today was the end of the road for the old business. It was really nice that several people made the effort to come and say goodbye.
I did nearly knock myself out when a heavy blackboard fell forward and smashed me on the head. But maybe it will knock some sense into me :)

Had a laugh on the way home teaching my son how to blow bubbles with gum, stay classy South London ;)

My fridge is now full to bursting with all the odds and ends of food that needed to come home so that will save a few pennies.

Oh and one of the parties came to pay their deposit so there is now £75 more in the business account which will help pay the last installment of this years music license.

I am sad because my FIL is back in hospital on dialasis, but glad my OH is going to spend the weekend with his Mum so he can support her with driving to the hospital and so forth. I know I'd appreciate my son around under the circumstances. So solo parenting for 2 days. DS has been invited to the cinema for the afternoon tommorow which is lovely for him. And will give me a little time to be with DD and chill a bit.

I put another bit of kit onto ebay today from the business which I wont need. If that sells thats £350 towards the overheads for August.

Right well. Hot sweaty and a bit emotional plus the cat is screaming to be fed so better go for now.

    Bob

Bob - just found the diary when wombling around. Good luck with the new venture. I know from past experience that putting an old business to bed is hard on an emotional level.

Best wishes with this venture (and with the ebaying!)

It's really hard bringing something to a close Bob, but the nice thing is that you still have the actual venue, just putting it to different use. How lovely that some customers came by to wish you well:) Word of mouth is the best sort of advertising so hopefully everything will snowball from your first few bookings. SE is a rollercoaster as you know but so fulfilling/satisfying, like nurturing a baby :)

Sorry to hear about your FIL, It is so hard to see loved ones suffering, it's a time that MIL really needs the support, emotionally as much as practically.

    Hi All

Well I have literally just got madam down to sleep. She hasnt been well today. Think teething or a cold. I put her down for her lunchtime nap and laid down with her only to be covered in projectile that covered her,me and the bed. Queue a frantic half hour of bed stripping, washing machine stuffing and baby dunking. Poor girl. She brightened up in the afternoon and ate some tea but then my sons playdate arrived home from the cinema and they were playing for a bit afterwards which meant a bit of chaos and somehow it was 9pm and she was still refusing bed. I take my hat off to single mums everywhere and think you all deserve the highest medals of the land.

Spoke to OH. He said his Dad has lost more weight. And his memory is worse. But they managed a 2 hour visit. The dialysis was then starting after they left.

Right Im off for a cuppa. Thanks Julie & NOA lovely to read your comments.
