I'd just get the train, it's not that far, or maybe a MegaBus or similar if you really need to keep the costs down!0

It's not just 3 letter codes. It also spells out the airports on the next page where you select room types, transfers, luggage etc, then again on the page where you enter passenger details, and finally on the last page where you pay. Sorry you made a mistake, but I'm not sure how you missed it.
The agent is right, flights have to be paid for in full when they book them. Thomson should not be touching this booking. The agent owns the booking and they should be the only ones allowed to change it.You booked in April!
Why leave it till the end of July to try and rectify the mistake?
Just fly from Manchester. Your travel costs getting to Manchester are probably far less than re-booking etc.
I did try to rectify it in April when I spoke to the holiday company. It's only because someone said to me today to try going to the airline direct I thought someone might have some advice on this. The person I spoke to used to work for a holiday company and he said he gives the advice to everyone to try calling the airline...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't0 -

Enjoy it!
Cheaper return flights from Heathrow to Manchester will be around £90 each.
You're probably right!! Thank you0 -
Yes, a tad late perhaps to change but you never know. Manchester is maybe not as convenient for you but it is not Mongolia! I have flown from Gatwick before now and had to drive five hours to get there, just because that was the available airport I booked. Not ideal I know but I'm not parochial either.
I can well understand love holiday's position as flight is now booked and if you travel soon may have been paid for in full by now? You say you did not notice during the booking process but surely you got a booking confirmation from them with your flight details clearly stated on the first page?
Perhaps you should read the terms and conditions that they ought to have sent you, ..I forget their standard ones in respect of such a booking error......
However they are probably just the agent on your behalf and I agree that if TUI (especially if they have been fully paid) might be you best approach if you really wish to change......
.....or just embrace the delight of an extra bit on your trip?0 -

I'm looking at their website now and the search I've done shows
"10th September 2016 - 7 nights
7 nights, Room Only
Luton - Palma Mallorca
Airline
Outbound: Sat 10 Sep '16
21:00 LTN - 00:30 PMI
Palma Mallorca - Luton
Airline
Inbound: Sun 18 Sep '16
01:20 PMI - 02:50 LTN"
The next page
"Flight Price: £236.00
Luton - Palma Mallorca
(2 x £118.00 pp)"
It is clear on every page.0 -

If someone used to work for a holiday company advises people to try to bypass the agent and get the airline to change an agent's booking, it's not a holiday company I'd be using, or recommending! He'd be less than impressed if his holiday company was cut out of the loop, and an airline changed one of their bookings direct for one of their customers.
It would probably still be cheaper to fly from Manchester by the time you paid change fees and any difference in fare cost.0 -

Well I'm just going by what he told me! Maybe that's why he doesn't work for them anymore, eh!0 -
