Help me find a cheap laptop or base unit with this spec?

I have got an external monitor and keyboard to use with the laptop as the spec required a bigger monitor than the screen of the laptop.


I do agree regards overheating issues, ideally I would like to wait until my first months pay is in - give me a chance to get a feel for the job and accrue a little money to spend on the new base unit to go with the monitor/mouse/keyboard I already have.

I agree it is probably unusual (though I have no experience of this type of working from home) but it's a needs must thing - it will fit with my life/work issues

Slightly off topic, but get a copy of their home working policy just to check where you stand with regards to home working allowance and that side of things.

The £40 base unit, if still available at that time, is more than adequate. Indeed you'll be happy to know that the processor is a Intel Core2 Duo E7400 running @ 2.80GHz
