Monday 25th July - what small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

    Hi July Joculants,

    Quick post.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    * Do RM Surveys.

    * DW wants a trip to cinema. Will use Swipii card. I think we can get 2-for-1 today on it. We may go to see separate films, not sure I fancy StarTrek.

    * Come home and plough through a gazillion wee jobs that are weighing heavy on my shoulders and stressing me. What with being short-staffed at work and having litttle time off it feels like I'm drowning. :( Anyway, I can fix this and I will fix it this evening.

Live long, live well and prosper.

Hi guys & thanks for the start PF.

Funny day today! Was feeling very motivated and being productive but madam not herself, upset and crying/tantrums alot so after being very productive I've slowed down! She seems a little calmer now so may get a few minutes!

    So far have:

    * picked runner beans, french beans and 2 sunburst squashes (will cut and freeze the runner beans)
    * strained yogurt made Saturday night to make lovely thick greek yogurt mmmmm
    * had some of said yogurt with some melon
    * looked at meal plan to see what is for tea
    * re-did my meal plan/shopping list for the next 10 days as we're broke so need to spend less than the original meal plan would have cost! Looked on the "cheapest meal" thread to get some inspiration

    Still to do:
    * NSD - playing at home so no need to go anywhere or spend anything
    * [STRIKE]photo things to put on fleabay later[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]tidy out larder - not technically not MSE but if we can see what's in there less likely to cash when we need something but can't find it! [/STRIKE]
    * polish, vacuum downstairs & clean kitchen sides & cupboards
    * [STRIKE]hang washing out[/STRIKE]
    * water vegies in greenhouse
*filled up watering can while waiting for water to run hot to wash up
    * had hm courgette and chilli soup - all ingredients I grew :D
    * refilled dgd's cup with juice saved from when she decided she didn't want juice and wanted milk instead ;) this is a new *thing* she'll ask for a drink and drink half and then later say she wants something else. So each time she does this I decant the 1/2 a cup into a mug and put it in the fridge. Choosing my battles with a toddler! ;)

Ok think that's all I need to do. Wish me luck with madam!
    DF as at 30/12/16
    Wombling 2025: £87.12

Afternoon all, thanks for starting Purple Fairy - I'm back at work too after having a week off :(

Hope everyone is ok - it's been a little while since I've posted. Ally - hope you get some time off soon

We finally got our money back from our wedding venue last week :j This has gone in the wedding pot (now at 100%) and pays off the balance on our holiday to Whitby in March. The rest went on fuel to see my family over the weekend. I really didn't think we'd get it back without going down the CCJ route so we're both relieved

I had last week off work and needed it. Not feeling overjoyed to be back but at least I'm not feeling as burnt out as I was

LSD today - spent 50p on milk for work and we'll need some little bits in Aldi tonight to see us through to pay day on Thursday

Printed off payslip and consolidated budget for next month

Banking/ spending diary/ FPL to check

Rang wedding insurance company to tell them I wouldn't be pursuing the claim. Need to contact my bank to tell them I won't be pursuing chargeback even though they haven't contacted me in the 2 weeks since I sent them to forms by recorded post. Defo time to change bank!

Catching up with stuff at work

Watch some Netflix tonight on their free month trial

All meals from stores - no buying lunch today :T

    Afternoon all :D
Princess pea I am so pleased to read that you got your money back! It's fantastic news. :j
I'm late checking in today - no reason other than this being the first time I've picked the laptop up since I got up. I've been a busy-ish bunny today.
    I have already
:p checked banking and made a PAD to credit card.
:p taken car in for annual service (fingers crossed)
:p dropped dd off at summer school
:p crocheted 2 squares for my blanket
:p chased up train tix for our London trip next week
    And I still need to
    :p pick dd up
    :p pick the car up
:p pop to the butchers for meat
:p post a couple of letters
:p investigate why my latest wool order still hasn't arrived
:p mins game for today (19 things)
Think that's it. I'd best get on my way. See you all later.
