Monday 25th July - what small DFW things will you be doing today?

Very late check in from me - still recovering from cold / throat issues & am exhausted - but never mind - I have time to get better.
So today's completed list is:-
- NSD
- Extra portion of risotto made for tomorrow's lunch
- Booked eyebrow and other bits waxing for tomorrow covered by a voucher from last year
- Cut grass - it was really too wet but was getting so long the dogs were disappearing - and tomorrow is brown bin collection day
- Left car boot open all day to remove stinkiness from a bag I took to the coup yesterday that leaked  Have also put in a spray can of air freshener as well. Back cover of boot is still honking though - I've left it out over the branch of a tree & will ponder on how to make it stop smelling over the next few days (I have scrubbed it - to no avail)
- "Found" another Mr A wombled receipt in the bedrooom - now up to another £3 to be reclaimed - will print off tomorrow
Tomorrow I should be more productive as I'm hoping another good night's sleep will help banish the exhaustion.
Have a good evening y'all

Ally - how can you not fancy going to & see Star Trek - I thought that was illegal (it is in this Trekkie household anyway)
Glad it was OK though - I really fancy going to see this film in an Imax (not yet seen a 3D film).

What was in the bag that leaked? That would dictate how you remove the odour.
If you have any charcoal briquettes/lump (for a barbeque) you could use the carbon in them as an odour remover. Stand them on the boot cover and see if that works. This method works with trainer odour too. Cheap, plain charcoal is best, not easy-lighting.
Alternatively you could use bicarbonate of soda, or talcum powder. Rub it dry into the dry fabric, leave for hours, vacuum off.
Though it's expensive, I'm a fan of Febreze too, or Neutradol, for stubborn smells.
As a last resort you could hire a Rug Doctor with a hand-held hose and use that if you think the boot cover would stand up to the punishment. The good thing about a Rug Doctor is it doesn't just wet the fabric it sucks out the moisture afterwards.

Evening all
Thanks for the start PF
DNMS, my GD is 2 and 7 months, and she has just started all the crying and tantrums you mentionShe was such a sunny little thing before - I don't remember my children going through this transformation, and hope it doesn't last long
Princess, I am so glad to hear that you got your wedding venue money back!
Ziggy, I hope you had a nice day yesterday
:hello: to everyone else!
Today I have:
Wrapped and posted 7 ebay sales from over the weekend :T
Went to sales unit, took unsold items out and restocked
Listed unsold items on ebay
Was given a cucumber by one of the other dealers, from her greenhouse, which was great, as mine aren't ready yet. So crossed that off my list
Did a small shop while out, mainly fruit and those salad and veg bits that I don't have ready in the garden at the moment (but not a cucumber!). Also a loaf, some yogurt and a big bottle of soy sauce (went to Iceland, spent just over 9 quid)
Co-opted OH to help with the housework as the house was a tip  Much better now!
HM meals
Posted congratulations cards with some money in each for GDs aged 9 and 6, who had excellent school reports
Clicked on a case of wine with Virgin wines over the weekend, seemed like a good deal, but didn't like the delivery charge, so didn't bother. They contacted me today and offered me the case with another fiver off and free delivery
Still to do:
See what needs watering in the garden
Pick French beans
Paperwork for business0 -
Purple Fairy Thank you for getting us started today.
We had a lovely weekend camping with friends, we decided on Friday to get together and camp, thankfully most of our camping gear was easily accessible so it was quite simple to put it the car and go, we had a great time, nothing fancy just spending time together with our friends chatting, playing, cooking and enjoying the good weather and no internet what so ever.
Today I plan to:

Hi guys,
I found dinner in the fridge and freezer - no takeaway here
Also found out I am getting a bonus paid this year - due on Friday - and I'll be able to pay off my student loan!! That's effectively an almost £200 a month pay rise!!! So fricking happy!! Also booked us tickets for under £30 each for a wee break later in the year. Oooh, the small things..
Big love everyone!0 -

Just remembered I rang Sainsbury's customer service, 0800 number, as the milk I opened yesterday was in date and gloopy. The person was very helpful, took a few details and they are sending me a £5 gift card to apologise. Frustrating about the milk, luckily we had some UHT in stock so not the problem it could've been, as I had spent £1 on the milk we will be up £4 :jFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
