Installation of my disc didnt work so quick cleaned the drive with command prompt and for some reason the Sandisk USB was recognized, this started to load the Windows 8. but when I got to the enter product key, which I got from the product key tool, the key could not be verified ?? this just never ends, so back to -square 1

If it asks for a product key, it's the wrong version of Windows 8.
    What edition did ShowKeyPlus indicate?
You can also attempt to install Windows 10 directly; Windows 10 English International 64 bit

But it would help to know the the correct edition, instead of having to guess.

The product key said Windows 8, nothing else and then the code which is confirmed correct by HP
If I go through the same procedure I have done all day for the windows 10, where do I get the product code from for this ?

ShowKeyPlus will indicate the edition. So either you didn't use it or you don't remember.
You utilise the same product code that Windows 8 utilises.
In order for it to activate, you need to utilise exactly the right edition. I am only guessing at it. But since you have already upgraded Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, you have already shut that avenue down without having to roll back.
Fact is that you have done almost everything that was possible to make the job more difficult for yourself.
So...try the direct Windows 10 installation.
