House Roof Colour Change without consent

Hmmm - just had a look at the builders website and seems from their site plan that they may still be building phase 1
In which case planning documents are here
Materials Schedule approved March 2013.
There do not seem to be any amendments
Rather surprisingly, that DOES show some pairs of semis as having different roofing materials for each half...
37/38 - one brown plain, one red mendip
51/52 - one red mendip, one grey plain
53/54 - grey/red
81/82 - grey/red
85/86 - brown/red
Mind you, it also shows several lone semis... Quite how THAT's going to work, I'd love to know...
It also clearly says "preliminary" and "draft" on it.0 -

The roofs join at right angles and are shown on the street scene plan There also seem to be houses with garages in a different roof tile to the main house, which to me is strange, would look like the garage belonged to your neighbour.
I'm guessing we are talking plots 51 - 54 as they are showing on builder's site as exchangedIt also clearly says "preliminary" and "draft" on it.
Indeed - I've edited my post to say the decision notice refers to building materials March 2013 - which I can't find on the website. But OP should have a copy in their search documents.0 -

You're good at finding all that..... It is indeed one of those plots. Many thanks for finding the information despite others comments and beating me down.....Which, rather unsurprisingly, doesn't show a single pair of semis with different materials on each end.
I see a building changing in the bottom left, and about three buildings changing roof - all FROM red, to either grey or brown. Not one changing TO red.
Oh, and googling the roofing materials named on those docs shows that the mendip is actually the slightly more expensive option. Not much in it, though. One online supplier lists them as £2.48 each for the plain "slate" in either colourway, £2.59 each for the mendip. Both are from the same manufacturer.0 -

The sections of the main roofs you can see (plots 52/53) are all red, despite being shown as grey on the materials PDF. However, the garages linking those plots are roofed in grey. The "corner turner" roofs (plots 51/54) cannot be seen, but would look deeply odd in grey against the red of the "halstead" roofs, although the change could be lost in the corners relatively seamlessly.
Now note - again - that the list of plots is shown as being a preliminary draft (dated November 2012). Is there any documentation from the last 45-46 months...?0 -

No problem.
But you still need to get a copy of the Materials Schedule dated 21/02/13. This is what the Planners gave consent for, and is explicitly referenced in the decision notice
As it forms part of the decision I would have expected it to have been sent to you as part of your searches. If it hasn't you need to ask for it - either through your solicitor or direct to the Planning Office (the second option is probably quicker).
If what has been built differs from the 2013 materials schedule they may be in breach of planning - but even so I would expect they would just apply for retrospective consent, and it's unlikely to be witheld.
If the 2013 materials schedule shows your house with red mendip, then the builder messed up the agreement that you signed, as they were always committed to red mendip.0
