Tesco Bank have allowed my entire savings to be transferred out by telephone fraud!

I have to say, this is one of the strangest threads i've ever read.
It sounds to me like it's someone local to the OP or some kind of keylogger that has caused the issue rather than Tesco Bank being hacked just to acquire the OPs 3k savings pot.
I doubt some obscure note on the account that the OP refuses landline or mobile contact was helpful.
For what it's worth, Tesco Bank doesn't actually have any direct link into Clubcard itself, so any security issues with Clubcard points or cards have zero relevence to the bank.
I agree it's a fairly odd thread!
But the clubcard issue isn't as irrelevant as you're implying - the refs in posts above were to Clubcard Plus - which is (was, no longer issued I think) a real Tesco Bank account. Not to be confused with actual clubcards, which are just loyalty cards. Clubcard Plus problems could, therefore, be argued to be relevant, as those would be actual banking issues.
Not saying any link is likely though. OP appears to have been hacked by someone with knowledge of their security, and then somewhat hobbled by their own apparent aversion to phones. Can't see it has much to do with any wider Tesco bank issues.0 -
OP already seemed to have got confused about accessing a Tesco account from multiple devices - this isn't actually prevented at all but there is an extra security check the first time the account is accessed from a device that hasn't been used before (https://yourcommunity.tescobank.com/t5/Online-Banking/How-do-I-ask-you-to-recognise-my-device/ta-p/124), although OP's reluctance to use the phone number registered with Tesco obviously wouldn't help here. This security layer is unpopular with many but prevents account hijacking being conducted via online banking, hence this one being done by phone.
They do send an access number through the post. We do not have mobile reception so have to use that. It does take longer but the OP only uses post so no difference.
But why can't she link her printer to the computer Tesco recognise? Our printer is linked to both my husband's computer and my laptop. One upstairs and one downstairs.0
