I second the recommendation of a Beroca. The SAS use them which I take as a massive recommendation.
I also find them quite tasty.0 -
Beroca is what I used to take after a heavy night
obviously no such antics in that direction now.
Really glad the sleep issue appears to be easing, that will be making you more run down too, lack of sleep is associated with general health." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Sorry that I'm reading a running a lot lately CCL, but I just wanted to pop in and say how thrilled I am that you finally seem to have a head who appreciates your hard work. Morning.
Beroca it is then. I shall look into getting some. Sore throat is still hanging on in there, as is the tickly cough and I am one tired bunny this morning. I'm ok though - mainly tests at work today and hopefully time for me to do some marking in between as well. Nice class in at the moment - suspect it won't be that straightforward next lesson.
Thanks also PF for the info for the kidney beans. I'll get onto that tonight if I can be bothered, or the weekend if not.Not giving up

Just need to get on here and rant for a second. I've had a fall out with someone at work and I keep playing it over and over in my head. It's ridiculous really, but when I genuinely think that someone is wrong I won't let it go. I think they are wrong. I wouldn't care because it's someone that I have nothing to do with very often, but I am utterly gobsmacked with the way I was spoken to today. Need to get it off my chest. It's one of those people who are ruthless and don't care about anything but themselves, and that's very far removed from who I am so I struggle with that behaviour a bit. I've then gone on and fretted about it all afternoon, except I still don't think I'm wrong. Ah well... Must get my 'worry' book out and have a bit of a read.
Other than that, I'm still struggling a bit with a cough and a sore throat, and I've had a couple of rough nights. I think that the sleep situation with ds is improving but last night was poor. I'm also having lots of busy days at work and busy evenings at home so I don't feel as though I'm getting a lot of rest. Thankfully much of the housework is done and I've only had to bring a little bit of marking home so the weekend should be another one of feet up if I'm lucky. It's been another long half term and there's still a fortnight to go as well. Boo hiss.
I've gotten straight home and done tonight's housework jobs, and I'm determined to do my marking tonight as well.
Not much else to report other than my being overly worried about absolutely nothing. Hopefully I'll sleep it off.Not giving up

So wound up about that stuff earlier, I had completely forgotten that my boss has had some really sad news about his dad. He has cancer, diagnosed last week, which has spread through his body and he has between 6 and 12 months left - no option for any cure, only palliative treatment - very sad.Not giving up

Hi,
It's never nice to hear about someone with a terminal illness - very sad indeed.
Hope the sleep improves for you all soon - it really does make a difference if a full night's sleep is had - i know i feel the difference if i can "go through".
Take care x0 -
I'm quite angry with myself this morning. I know it's not helpful but it's just one of those things that I need to go through and accept that it's how I feel. I'm still stewing on this little disagreement that I had yesterday. I hate that I can't just let this stuff go and I have to think about it, replay it, think about it, mentally beat myself up etc etc etc. So I woke up twice during the night and struggled to get back to sleep because of it. Grrrr.
Anyway, I've been out and done my training session and am going to spend a bit of today reading my book on worry - see if I can get my head around this a bit. Help myself out. The only thing that I want to do is sleep at the moment, which I can do if I want to, but I have a couple of small housework bits to do. I also want to make a bit of progress on my crochet stuff today. Have tutoring later on, need a bit of shopping and I also have to get ds to football. Maybe today will not be as relaxing as I hope. Not giving up

Oh ((CCL)) please try not to waste any more time on this person.
Some people are all me, me, me - you can't change them so don't waste any more time or energy on them.
You cannot change them but you can change how you react to them - maybe avoid them in the future?
I speak from experience here - I am like you, if I think someone is wrong I have to tell them but sometimes it is a waste of energy. I have been called opinionated before - I don't think I am but I am passionate and of course that can sometimes come across as opinionated.
Try to have a relaxing weekend - you only have 1 or 2 weeks until half term and then hopefully you can catch up on all your sleep.0 -
Thanks EE - I appreciate the reassurance. I know I'm a good person, trying to do the right thing and I can't understand the other person's point of view here. Ah well. You're right. Time to move on. Saw the bestie this morning for a posh coffee at hers and got it all off my chest properly so hopefully that'll be it done with. I need to move on and put it behind me now.
I've had quite a productive day. Got the grocery shopping done for £36.50 and am busy prepping a big batch cook for overnight/tomorrow. Been to my tutoring session (always good) and done all of the housework minus the hoovering. I hoover every day - we stupidly have a black rug in the sitting room that needs hoovered as soon as I have just hoovered. I haven't done it since 7pm yesterday and it's getting on my nerves but dh has fallen asleep on the sofa so I can't really without being rude and waking him.
More tomorrow folks xNot giving up
