I have acer laptop widows 7 64 bit, clicked on the windows 10 upgrade, and I get the following:
This pc is not compatible for windows 10
The app developers haven't made these apps compatible with windows 10, so they won't work.
Check with developers for support.
Windows live family safety.
Microsoft Corporation.
Their is no option to proceed.
So, I guess my acer laptop is to old.
Any ideas, or is their now no option, other than staying with windows 7.

Have now uninstalled windows family safety, bus still fails with the same not compatible with windows 10.
Any more help, PLEASE0 -
That model is upgradable to Win 10. The Acer site advises that you have the latest BIOS update installed to upgrade successfully0

So, as above, laptop not compatible, so decided to leave as is on Windows 7.
BUT,
Late on Sunday (24th), I get the windows 10 box, with the count down, so clicked on the systems requirements option, and it now tells me, my laptop is now ready for windows 10.
So, whats gone on their, has Microsoft update my drivers in the background without me knowing (laptop spends most of time on) or have Microsoft update windows 10 to meet my system requirements!
Anyway, have now done the Windows 10 upgrade. Laptop seems to be fine, not discovered any problems.
All good so far.....0 -
WHATEVER you, or anyone else, now does, please run one of the free W10 privacy checker programmes to ensure you are aware of how much "spying" it allows Microsoft to do on you - I used O&O (they ARE a reputably s/w company!) "Shutup10" and switched off virtually all those functions!
Upgraded 4x m/cs (+1 that totally failed) and ran that on all of them - a very "interesting" process! OTOH reverted my main m/c to Win 7 Pro because I didn't really like W10!0
