Wow I'm overwhelmed by the responses. I'm new to the site so I can't figure out how to do a multi-post response!
I've been put off getting her a pandora bracelet, which is fair enough. I'd say it's a risky one and the Links of London ones look nice. Also I guess I'd be getting her pandora charms every christmas if she had a bracelet :P
Someone mentioned getting a watch which is a good idea! I'm browsing this site right now: houseofwatches.co.uk/ladies-watches/
Are Michael Kors watches still in fashion?0 -
Definitely make sure it is to her taste and check the returns policy!
My boyfriend bought me a necklace for Christmas that he thought I would like.
I don't wear gold and I don't wear necklaces. Of which he was fully aware.
Unfortunately it was not to my taste at all. He had not checked the returns policy so I was stuck with a high value credit note for a brand that I think is tacky at best. I managed to find something that was ok but the remainder of the credit note and the replacement item is still sitting in a drawer.
PS I know I sound ungrateful and I felt awful having to tell him I would never wear it.0 -

Yeah I've found a site with a good returns policy that I'm browsing now. I've bought from there before so I trust it. Thanks for the tip on that, I can imagine a few unhappy nights if she doesn't like it and we can't return it!0 -
I have a sweetie bracelet and a Pandora and would say its probably easier to top up with charms for a Pandora, theres a much bigger range of charms and they start from a lower price, plus you can fit more onto the bracelet.
If you think she may like a charm bracelet it will make Xmas and birthdays easier for you on the future .
Best of luck and keep the receipt!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Personally (and I am a Tiffany, links of London, Thomas Sabo fan) I wouldn't go near Pandora. The total cost of a bracelet plus charms is way more than a similar "name" elsewhere. I wear all sorts of bracelets, but find the charms too dangly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I would steer clear of rings unless you want her to think you are proposing!
Necklaces are pretty generic (although I can't wear standard 16" chains as they are too tight) and earrings are also one size fits allgood luck!

Just read back and I have a sweetie bracelet that DH got me for the first birthday of mine that we were together. I love it but don't wear it and couldn't wear it with any other charms he got me as it catches on my clothes and rips holes in them! Even when I took the charms off and left the simple heart one on, the loops for the charms to attach to still get caught! Not sure how I manage it really. I have a pandora one which is useful as now his family know what to get me for christmas!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Yes but I would go direct to Links of London as there are a lot of fake sites out there. If you're anywhere near Portsmouth there is a Links Outlet shop at Gunwharf Keys, so a lot cheaper than full price!0
