Knitters unite... A sub-forum for crafts/knitting?

I started a thread on the OS board about knitting, a few days ago (see link below) and have been really surprised about the number of responses from like minded OS'ers.
Would it be possible to have some sort of craft sub-forum do you think, or a dedicated thread similar to the Daily Thread? I know you probably want to avoid having millions of sub-forums but I'd be grateful for the views of others on how best to proceed. The responses so far suggest that it would be popular among a certain section of the OS members.
