Ive had a zafira and its cheap to run/insure etc but is so small on space you would really struggle to get older kids in the back.
a T5 Caravelle would be your best bet but they are crazy expensive- eye wateringly so even when battered.
failing that something like a citron long wheelbase van conversion or similar.Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
I have a Zafira and as Kim said it is small on space when all 7 seats are up, ideal for occasional use though.
We had a Volvo XC90 and it was awesome. Felt luxurious and plenty of room for all plus boot space. We found it expensive to run though (although previously we had an extremely economical diesel Zafira) but a diesel version may have been better. We did have an issue with a filter as the XC90 is not designed for small journeys and needs a regular run of more than 60mph which we couldn't always do.0 -
I was jsut about to say Volvo XC90 - we tested loads of 7 seaters including my 6'5 hubby getting in the back and this was the only one he said he could be comfortable in for more than 10 mins0

My max budget is £1500, some of the cars mentioned are too expensive. For running costs I would want anything bigger than a 2 litre. Will look at all the cars mentioned. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer - I was in my late 20s when I figured out what this meant.I neither take or enter agreements which deal with interest. I dont want to profit from someone's misery.0
