XS direct sending £2300 claim

I'd like to know how successful they are in recovering the £3000 from policyholders.
Very. They have to be to sustain that business model. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
True, though the OP seems to have bought it via a broker rater than through the XSdirect website, so it would depend on what information he was actually given by the broker. The OP's a bit vague Khan - and he doesn't seem to have all the docs.I would say they cover this quite comprehensively in several places on their website. Its also mentioned in the introduction in the policy0 -
XS direct like providing insurance to cars of a high value for young drivers i.e. RRS Porsche etc
This is why the excesses can be high it makes the premium very attractive.0 -

That's fair enough, however an excess that the customer has to pay out if they have an accident is extremely unusual and MUST be made very very clear to the customer so they can make an informed choice0 -

There's a similar case to this on the RAC forum at the moment and that poster's broker has the XS Direct Summary of Cover on their website.
Interesting reading...

I read the first 3 boxes and thought the policy holder is not claiming, but then the 4th box mentions claims from any 3rd party.
A cheap policy with a serious risk of being in debt for many years?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Hi All,
Finally got a phone call from XS Direct today. They are requesting me to pay the amount £2258. They suggested payment plan of £377 every month until 6 months - This includes the interest amount
If I am not paying then they would request debt collection agency to collect the payment.
I will be speaking to the "one call" insurance broker today to get all the insurance renewal documents. Let's see what it says regarding All sections excess anywhere in the documents list.
I told to the XS direct person over phone that I am not aware of "All Sections " ? and he says it should be known to you before signing the policy and he asked how did I get the policy through one call.
I said in "online"
He said then you should have read the terms the conditions of the policy
I am going to request "one call" all the details regarding the policy and I am going to take it from there
If anything is misleading or not informed to me, I am going to file a complaint to ombudsman.....
I have no other choice0 -
Hi All,
It looks like there is a mistake between Policy underwriter and Broker
I had revised the Policy in month of Feb this year and that revised policy did not had All section excess luckily
So I believe I don't have to pay now
XS direct said they will check and come back to me
haven't heard anything for a while0 -
You might have answered this question a thousand times but my situations in a little different, i have a car insurance police with xs direct and i was involved in a car accident 5/7/15, i was not at fault! I have picture to prove, and where the damage was made on the vehicle, couple months later my insurance was due for a renewal and i asked about my claim, they told me that the claim has been drooped by the other company (london transport, bus) and i haven't got to worry about it, the reason why i didnt claimm is because i dont like dealing with all the paper work and that. 1 year later i received a call from them tell me i owe them £500 odd pounds for paying the 3rd company out, apparently it has went to court without anyone notifying me with any information that the claim was still carrying on. Well i took the insurance out other the internet i wasn't aware of this all excess thing till today, i spoke to them over the phone telling them i wasn't sent y term and condition over the post or it wasent e-mail to me, they turnt around and said well i will send that through the post today? I refused it,
i haven't made a claim against the 3rd company
they said they will cancel my insurance in 7 working days if i dont pay my excess.
And i told them i havent got the money for it now i will pay them next month they have refused to help me with a settlement plan.
Please get back to me thanks you0 -

I hope you don't mind, but I've amended your post to include paragraphs, this will make it easier for more people to read and is likely to prompt more responses.
When is your current Policy due for renewal?
How do you pay your premium and roughly how much is your premium?0
