Such is the unpopularity of Cameron, I suggest that if he had campaigned to leave the EU, the vote might have gone the other way!- WhoIsThat -If you didn't vote in that clown who has the removal lorry booked for tomorrow evening, but instead elected David Miliband,
Was he a candidate?0 -
The only Brexit regret I have was it took as long almost 60 years after I first voted no ...... and Macmillan and HaHa-Heath took us in ...... to take us out.

We only just got out because as an overwhelmingly one party I]functional dictatorship[/I state, I thought they had it stitched up.

Didn't you watch that FT video I posted?
Yes I watched a very biased vid from some stroppy kid who thinks his parents and grandparents have ruined his future !
Personally everything I buy nowadays is from China with an occasional German product if I m feeling flush.Hang on, don`t Germany want to continue flogging us all their cars and washing machines and don t we sell them a lot less than we buy.We have the upper hand in a trade deal with them and the rest of developed Europe as well probably. We also paid through the nose to be a member with an £8 billion deficit in 2014 .Its not all gloom and doom but it is to the under 43s ! They have been shackled to the Brussels model all their lives and they are afraid to leave.0 -

Sounds like you fixed before the result was known.
Are you not worried what you'll have to pay come May 2017?
If it's cheaper, fix and fix again.
Having gone through over a decade of monitoring the market and switching where necessary, my only fear is getting a way too expensive three year fix. Not because I can't afford it, but because I would die of shame.0 -
Wow really? How do you buy food, gas, electric, petrol, etc etc from china.sacsquacco wrote: »Yes I watched a very biased vid from some stroppy kid who thinks his parents and grandparents have ruined his future !

Twelve energy providers have pulled fixed-rate tariffs and replaced them with more expensive deals since 23 June, according to comparison website uSwitch.
The website found a dozen dual-fuel deals had been replaced since the referendum with new offers costing up to £105 a year more for the average customer.
Devil's Advocate - how does this compare with the number of fixed rate tariffs replaced with more expensive ones in the two weeks before the vote?
Without a valid control this could actually mean that less have been replaced since then. (Honestly have no idea, nut suspect not.)
I know fighting bad stats in the media is a losing battle...0 -

Wow ! Uk does nt depend much at all on the EU for our energy.gas 43% from UK, rest from Russia and Norway. Coal is supplied from Russia, Colombia, Australia, US.Oil is mostly our own North Sea and the rest from US/Russia/Africa/Middle East.
I buy as much British food as as possible, breaky is always porridge ! and never use Lidl or Netto supermarkets, Clothes..Far East , and Hotter (made in UK always) for shoes. Wine..New world..etc etc0 -
I have been with Costco for nearly 20 years. It's like a Brexit all by itself. Walking into Tesco is like shopping in Switzerland.
They sell cars, so I don't see why they can't sell energy.
Costco Executive Members get 2%, please. On a £1,250 bill, that is £25, which is the extra you pay for Executive Membership.
In fact, we should petition Costco to sell energy.0 -
Nothing in it - Non energy costs are increasing - these were set out last year.
